Came back from vacation weighing LESS!!!

  • Last night I almost posted a topic called "came back from vacation, need to get back on track" because I felt like I'd cheated so badly, especially in the last day. At the airport, I had mcdonalds (and no healthy choices here... all the sauces, all the fries) and when I came back, showing my family the videos and pictures, I ate and drank THROUGHOUT. I didn't get on the scale, but I knew it couldn't have been good news. (and I could have sworn that my face was swelling up in the videos day by day... gaining by the hour, i thought!)

And when I got on the scale today, I STILL weighed less than I did when I left!! To think... I probably could have been a pound or so lighter if I hadn't pigged out for dinner last night! (like... noodles, margaritas, chocolate, giant hunk of cheese and white bread... real piggin' out!)

I feel amazing, and it made it that much easier to have scrambled egg whites, strawberries and fat-free yogurt for breakfast, knowing that I don't have to re-lose any pounds! I didn't think walking did that much, but when you're in New York, and walk for upwards of 5 hours through the day, it adds up!

Thank goodness I didn't post the "need to get back on track" topic last night, because I would have felt foolish this morning!
  • Good for you. Keep that positive attitude!

  • Thanks! I will keep that in mind LOL! One good thing is that I am an early bird and will most likely be up on that promenade deck with the early morning runners and walkers!!
