10 Minute Solution

  • This past weekend, I bought the 10 minute solution: kickbox bootcamp.

Definately gets your heartrate up, and I felt like I was DYING! In a good way, of course...

There are 5 different 10 minute segments:
~Basic Training - which has a lot of boxer moves, and you mock jump-rope a lot. Also quite a few kicks in there.
~Ultimate Buns & Thighs - a LOT of lunging, and plias(sp?). I could definately feel the burn in my legs!
~Arm & Shoulder sculptor - meant to be done with hand weights, but would be still effective without. Teaches you how to punch, jab, and duck from your opponenet. I'm still feeling it in my arms 48 hours later!
~Washboard Abs - this is floor work, and I didn't have a mat, and was on a hard-wood floor, so I only did 5 minutes of it, but works your glutes/abs very well!
~Fat Burning Blast - I haven't actually done this segment yet, but it says on the back "action-packed, ultra-efficient way to blast away calories and burn carbs", so it can't be all bad, right? lol

And the neat thing about this dvd is that there are warmups and cooldowns specific for each segment, and you can also program the dvd to run in a certain order, so you can do the segments in the order you want to do them!

Overall, I like it! Only done it twice, for 20 minutes each time, but really got me sweating within the first THREE minutes! Definately worth the $10!

I figure every time I get a new dvd, I'll post about it, so more people can get informed, cuz I know it would have surely helped me!
  • Thanks for the review! I'll have to check that out!
  • I got the 10 minute Pilates one and I like it too. I haven't done all the segments yet though. It looks like a quality series even though (to my knowledge) the instructors are fairly unknown.
  • I really enjoy this workout as well. The instructor, Keli Roberts, is one of my favorites! The 2 cardio segments really do get the heartrate up there (program your DVD to do one after the other), then you move on to the toning work. In only 50 minutes you get a total body workout with cardio. A really good investment!
  • I have the pilates one as well and I love it. The instructor is motivating but not annoying-perky (ala Denise Austin - though her videos are alright). I really feel the ab one especially the day after.
  • I have the 10 min pilates well ab pilates and the fat burning also. I like how it is broken up into 10 mins I can do 30 mins then go back later and the the other 20 mins
