I was put on Zoloft, first at the lowest dosage, then I was having problems, and then they put me on the second lowest dosage... (25-50 then, after that 100)...
Anyway, every time they ended up switching me, I had started to have really bad thoughts that weren't there before. I would flip flop between being really numb but content to manicy, to fighting with everyone.
After a week on the 100mg, I decided that dealing with my depression can be possible with exercise... so I started doing that and weaned myself (note: I was wrong with this, don't try messing with your meds yourself, especially ssri's) off zoloft, and I've been clean of it for 7 months now.
Boy I went crazy when I ran out one time though. People thought I was batty, and I think I was. Three days without it just about killed me.
There's research about SSRI's leading to suicide - seemingly normal people just off themselves, and it's linked to these types of drugs.

There's some information on it, it debates both sides.
