Before and After

  • At my last Weight Watchers meeting, we talked about before and after~the way we would eat a particular food before and the way we eat it now after starting WW. I'm continuously looking for new ways to add variety with low point foods, so I'm hoping for some great ideas.
I'll start~Before: I used to eat two regular hot dogs on regular buns for about 16 points. After : I buy the FF hot dogs and light buns for a total of 4 points for two. (I also usually load up one hot dog with sauerkraut for 0 points and try to eat just one hot dog.)

  • Breakfast before:

2 pcs toast with butter, PB and jelly (app 12 pts)

    After:

2 pcs lt toast with honey or no sugar jam (2 pts total)

    or:

2 muffins that I've made 3 pts total
  • Great idea!

Before: pancakes made from mix, reg. syrup, plus sausage/bacon
Now: whole wheat pancake mix made w/just egg whites, blueberries added, lite syrup, no sides
(Sunday morning treat; usually we have Kashi now!)

Before: mashed potatoes w/butter & sour cream
Now: mashed potatoes cooked in ckn. broth, skim milk added

Before: 1 T-bone steak per person! (Well, we're Texans ...)
Now: Lean steak or pork tenderloin, portions weighed

And of course, many more changes. Reached goal 3 weeks ago, down from size 24 to size 10.

    Regards,
    Jan

    For work breakfasting...
Before: Bagel, Lox and Cream Cheese w/ Cof 'n crm- 15 pts

  • Boca crumbles are a meat replacement made by Boca Burgers - they come in a plastic sack in the freezer section and are like crumbled, cooked hamburger -
