Thank You

  • Just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this website . I am fairly new to this site and have'nt really done alot of posting but I sure have done alot of reading. I have dieted many times over the years and never make it much past 1 week but this time is different.

I have been sereiosly counting calories and eating healthy (with 1 or 2 slip ups) for over three weeks now. I have only lost 3 lbs. but it is the same 3 lbs. I have lost and gained a hundred times. The difference is that I have kept that 3 lbs. off now for 2 weeks in a row. I think I just might be able to lose more than 3 lbs. this time

Although I haven't been excersising , I actually think I might start next week. I tend to take baby steps when it comes to changes, and I figured that next week will be 1 month of dieting and maybe I need to step it up a little .

I think everone's support has been the biggest difference this time. I read your posts and realize that we all seem to go through the same highlights and lowlights, and we're all in this thing together.

Anyway, I just wanted to give you all "Kudos" for all your efforts in you own weight loss journeys as well as all the support you give everyone else.

    Thank you all very much!
  • Hi Abbyin! Welcome! I'm kind of new myself... been here for a few months. Good for you for trying again. Keeping those 3 lbs off for 2 weeks is awesome! Keep going!

That's a pound a week, which is great. And you mentioned you've kept it off this time, which is even better

Just keep doing what you're doing, it will come off. 1-2 pounds a week is the safer and healthier way to lose.

I'm a calorie-counter too and we have a special place we like to post, maybe you'd want to come over and check out some of the threads and get more ideas on calorie-counting

  • They say anything you do for 30 days becomes a habbit, so your new healthy eating is more of a habbit now and less of a temporary diet Big Kudos to you!!

Keep going strong - you'll get there in no time at all
  • Thanks guys for your support. I do feel like this might be becoming a habit as my DH is working tonight so I was on my own for dinner. I considered going to get some fast food (the old me would have) but I didn't. I thought about all the fast food and decided that it had way to much grease, calories and fat. I fixed my self some tuna salad and I was just fine. My fitday looked pretty good today also. I think I might be on the right track!

Sassy887, you have a great trip to Vegas. I went there last year around this time for my daughters wedding. We had a blast!
