Joining in

  • Hi everyone,

I would like to join your group. I joined WW in October of 99 and lost about 35 pounds reaching lifetime last September. Well, now I am 7 pounds over goal and 12 over where I was last December. I would like to lose the 12 pounds and then 10 more to reach a personal goal.

So I have started counting points again and working out. I am trying a new strategy though. I am eating between 30-33 points a day even though WW says that my range is 22-27 or 20-25 depending on the plan. I feel like I need to maintain at a higher amount to be successful so I figured if I lose at a higher amount that I could eat more later. Has anyone else tried this? I would love to maintain at 35-40 (with regular exercise).

I started last Thursday and I have some TOM water gain now so I can't tell if my new theory is working but I'll let you guys know. Also can I join your 12 week challenge even if I use my Palm Pilot and not the 12 week book?

Thanks for listening, I looking forward to "meeting" all of you!

  • Of course, Carla, join on in.

Rupertsmom's strategy was to eat at the highest possible level she could while still losing. Sounds like an excellent plan to me.

(And where is that MotherofRupert anyway???!!!)

Anyway, Carla, we'd love to hear about your progress.

  • Welcome Carla. You'll find lots of support here.

As Laurel has already mentioned, Rupertsmom did what you are doing - following a points regime higher than that recommended by WW. No sign of her lately but if she is around, perhaps you can get more info from her about how she went about it.

I generally can eat more points per day and still lose (not lately though) as long as I exercise religiously.
