I bought the book, now what?

  • I bought the book and am thinking of starting. Next week is Valentine's day and we're going to my favorite restaurant. I'm not going to miss that. Is it ok to eat what I want for that meal and then resume sonoma the next morning? I'm constantly puuting the dieting off for some reason or another. I really want to start now.
  • In my personal opinion, yes As long as you eat well MOST of the time, then you are already doing something good for your health and your weight. Life happens. Special occasions are a part of a happy and balanced life. I think that was touched on in the book, though I don't have mine handy.

    If you eat well from now until then, chances are that you will not go far off track that night anyway. You may want to eat smaller portions, or choose something healthier from the menu. Share a dessert between you You can still have a nice night out without overdoing it.

  • Yep.. what Suzanne said is true. Special occasions are mentioned in the book because they are a part of life. However no event is an excuse to "pig out". Yes maybe don't eat perfectly on plan, but don't stuff yourself silly. Find a good balance.
