The object of this thread is to STOP THE INSANITY! of doing the same thing week in and week out to lose weight, expecting different results, and not getting them! We invite you to challenge yourself to establish a new weight loss ACTION each week and repeat it for 7 days straight. Choose whatever inspires you and will make a difference in your weight loss goal - a certain amount of water intake each day, no sweets, a certain amount or kind of exercise a day, etc.
If you don't master the action - take it on another week. Once you have mastered the action, continue that challenge but if you are not losing weight (or inches) STOP THE INSANITY! and up the anty on that goal or take on another. We will weigh in and declare our challenge(s) for the week each Monday. I will award kudos for each day you report success and at the end of the week for total pounds lost.
We will support each other by staying focussed on our successes and/or challenges of the day and week and keep our personal stories to a minimum.
Let's see how much we can lose by Valentine's Day!

All that we have is right now.
Yesterday is gone, Tomorrow is not promised, and Someday is not a day of the week!

I did it! Today I started the mini boot camp. Up at 4:45, on the spin bike at 5:35. And it was great! (Apart from the ab work, of course. Carla has a long way to go before she has any discernable abs...) So I think the next month will be good for me. I'll also be spinning at the new place (starting tonight, in fact).

You go on those goals for the week - they are awesome but definitely achievable. We know you can do it!
you are doing great - hang in there. You are going to have a great week.

but I am reserving changing my ticker until next weigh in day.
good for you - isn't great when are challenges become ways of healthy living for us. I am looking forward to the day I can go to bed by 10:00!
), and I got LOTS of exercise in. I'm also going to do "midriff moves" as my weekly challenge from now on - they're really tough, but really effective. Basically, it's 3 minutes of three types of crunches and you can really feel them! In addition to all that I've got my running (15.5 min this morning!!!) and I'm starting a new 21-day challenge and making it tough. I've been feeling very motivated the past couple of days, as you can see!
