New Weight Watcher/ New 3FC

  • Hello all my name is Dena. I am on my second week of weight watchers. I have enjoyed my meetings the leader is a blast. When I went for my first weigh in this past Thursday I was up 3 pounds. I dont know if that was from not using all my points or from, being sick on my first weigh in, I had the flu the day prior. But as far as I can tell I am down the 3 pounds I wont know for sure until this Thursday. I really like the points system, I am able to eat with my family and enjoy the foods they are eating.
I hope to find alot of support and make some friends along the way here at 3FC.
I just feel that it has clicked in my head that it is time to take control and lose the weight I need to. I have basically cut out all pop, which I didnt think I would be able to do, I drink pretty much all water.
My family is very supportive, like tonight I stole a piece of pepperoni that my 6 year old son doesnt eat and he asked me how many numbers it was, meaning points it just warmed my heart that he was watching to make sure that I was tracking it
Sorry I am rambling on, I am just happy I found this board.

I wanted to add that I am A SAHM mom to 3. 6yrs,3yrs, and 1yr. Ill be married 7 yrs in Feb.
  • Welcome, Dena! I am fairly new to 3FC, but a longtime weight watcher. I once was a SAHM as you are; when I first went to WW, my kids were 4, 2, and newborn. Best of wishes for a satisfactory weight loss!
  • hello fellow newbie :D
    Hi Dena,

I'm new to WW myself. I've been going for about 4 weeks. AND I just rediscovered 3FC. I also decided to grab control of my weight and hope that I'll find the support I need here. Hopefully we'll come to support each other.

Don't worry about the 3lbs. I myself had the same problem. The good thing is that every week since I've lost. Even the two weeks I thought I gained. And I think it's wonderful that you're family is involved. I live in a town by myself so my family isn't right here to 'watch' me. However, I've got a group of girlfriends that are very supporting. Also, 2 of my sisters, who are also overweight, have decided to join WW in their hometowns. So we'll be supporting each other by phone and email. I just think all the support you can get is great. That's one of the reasons I wanted to start posting here.

I'm rambling so I should go now. Good luck on your journey.
