Lunch V. Dinner Portion

  • Well, my family is eating out at Red Lobster tonight, so I went on to the website to check out the Lighthouse Menu (shows calories, carbs, etc. and gives you options for foods that will help you stick on your diet). I was browsing through the foods, none of which I really liked since they are seafood, so I'll just have what I want tonight and go back on my diet tomorrow, because I haven't had restaurant food in a month, when I saw the same food listed twice.

I was like I looked over at the Serving Size and one said Lunch Portion and the other Dinner Portion. What's up with that? Why would they change the portion size just because it is a different time of day?

From experience, I think the dinner portion is bigger.
  • Some restaurants do that. That's how they can have a lunch special for 3 or 4 dollars. No matter what you order, you can leave some of each thing behind and know that you've at least saved a few calories.
  • Okay, thank you! I am planning to eat half of my plate and save some for tomorrow. And I'll try to resist the biscuits . Too bad my brother loves them, but they're 160 cals each!
  • I love Red Lobster Biscuits also. You can always try their lighthouse menu. Suppose to be healthier.
