  • Ok Tuesday is now officially 3FC Telly Fat night. Sooooooooo instead of cluttering up other threads with our observations, post here!!!

Gillian McKeith has just started making people cry, and it's only 10 minutes into fat night!
  • I'm on Celebrity Fit Club, will watch YAWYE between this finishing and Super Size Surgery coming on. I love Sky+

    Addicted? Moi?
  • No supersize surgery tonight apparently , back next week though

I was looking forward to shouting at that woman's husband again
  • Ooh I can't cope with surgery at all - makes me want to throw up! I tried to watch it last week but had to turn over. If you could just filter out the operation bits, I'd probably watch it!

Been watching Fit Club though. I must admit I hate that journalist woman with a passion - writing all those evil things about Anne being overweight and then being a stone heavier herself, all along! That kind of hypocrisy makes my blood boil. I keep willing her to gain a bit of weight. Naughty, I know!

I missed Paul McK last night (Big Brother was too good to miss), so will try and catch him down the week, as that one's repeated a lot. I was watching the BB live streaming the other morning - the only thing on whilst I was on me exercise bike - and they were showing the *celebs* in the gym. I was pleased to notice I was keeping up with Maggot on his bike - because he's probably 15 years younger than me, at least!

I did catch one other bit of diet related TV - in 'The Wright Stuff' (daytime TV - I'm at home with a toddler), yesterday they were talking about women's dress sizes and he said summat about a certain lady who presents daytime TV who has a dressmaker cut the labels out of all her work clothes and sew in a new label, 2 sizes smaller. One of the guests said she'd heard the same thing. Now I'm wracking my brains to work out who it was...

  • I heard Maggot may be at least ten years older than he admits to, he certainly looks at least 10 years older than 24! Any excuse to talk about BB!
  • There aren't any fat people on Big Brother, except George Galloway, who is fat and creepy.........

Celebrity fit club is beginning to annoy me, the weight losses expected are just unrealistic, but it makes for good telly. Johnno Coleman doesn't look any slimmer now than he did when he was first on Fit Club.
  • I watched the beginning of Gillian McKeith last night, so wanted to watch it all but it clashed with Stargate so I was out manouvered (Mon night is my night!). Is it repeated at all ???
  • the reason johnno coleman looks the same is probably cos he has loads of excess skin, that lord sitting next to him had it terrible on his neck.

I wouldn't mind Harvey being my personal trainer, boy would that motivate me to get off my arse

    ew, cats just been sick
  • I once saw Harvey's wife interviewed on a TV show - and she was massive! She said she just ignores him. Can't say I blame the poor woman... But it was a bit like poetic justice. Maybe she's lost weight since then, it was a couple of years back...

It wouldn't surprise me if Maggot isn't older than he claims. Although some people do look ravaged at an early age, so you never know. I like it when George is in the gym because everything he does looks so feeble - makes me feel better about myself! I suspect he only goes there at all to watch Traci and because he thinks he'll get the 'yoof vote'. He really showed his true colours last night.

I'd love to see Pete in the gym - wonder if he'd so it in full wig and make-up? Hopefully!

I agree with you about the unrealistic weight losses on Fit Club. They used to couch everything with the line that only 1 - 2lb a week is *healthy* weight loss - but now they're not batting an eyelid at half a stone or more. I'm wondering if they haven't been affected by 'The Biggest Loser' as that seems to me to encourage a monumentally unhealthy approach to weight loss (although I fancy both male trainers in the UK and US one so I watch it!) That said, the big losses tend to be the folk who are morbidly obese to start off with, and that would be fairly standard at the start of a diet, for them. But I've noticed that the slimmer ones are also expecting 5lb a week and that doesn't seem a healthy thing to encourage. I think it's why they cram those weight loss shows with the morbidly obese as their spectacular losses (at the start of a diet) are better television.

  • I think Johnno looks much thinner

Tranquility YAWYE isn't repeated, channel 4 are far too busy repeating desperate housewives and ER. Not that I'm complaining about that.
  • I love the way on CFC they go on about big weight losses being unhealthy then set them all 5 - 6lb targets. Hardly consistent!
  • 1 - 2 pounds just isn't good telly.
  • Biggest Loser Family Edition is on here tonight..don't watch it much now..they've done 'engaged couples' and others..can't remember the names it showed a clip earlier and one of the coaches is lecturing one of the girls "YOU'VE GOT ADULT ONSET DIABETES AND YOU'RE ONLY16 YEARS OLD!" I might have a peek to see what they get up to I want to see this maggot that you're on about
  • We're getting the US second series of Biggest Loser at the moment. Just got to the one where all the women fall out.
  • I watched a new one to me last night on channel 5 called diet doctors I preferred it to YAWYE it's a whole hour and they have one person who wants to lose/get fit blah blah then another fit person who they make do bad things. They made this fit young bloke who barely drank, drink 5 pints an night to see what happens. Made me laugh anyway.
