NSV for the week of 1-22 to 28

  • Ok now we want to hear all your NSV's for the week so come and let us know when you have one you want to share!! A non scale victory or NSV is something that you have accomplished that is not reflected by stepping on the scale. Such as going to a big luncheon and sticking and eating OP the entire lunch, or MAKING yourself go work out after you have been trying to talk yourself out of it. Or turning down a big treat that was offered to you but you had the strength to turn it down. Something that you are PROUD of yourself for doing and accomplishing!
  • Hopefully, I'll have one after today's brunch.
  • This is for last week (now that I figured out what an "NSV" is...) I made it to the gym three times last week.

For this week, I'm going on vacation and I already made sure the hotel has a gym and have packed plenty of workout clothes. Now, to get there...
  • Brunch - grilled salmon over spinach leaves - lemon juice on the salad. Ice water to drink.
  • OK your next step Mother Lynn is to tell them to please do not cook the salmon in butter, no seasoning such as salt!!! I often take my Molly McButter to restaurants with me! WTG!!!
  • I thought the salmon was grilled?
  • you can still use butter on it so it won't stick to the grill according to the last time I ordered it the other week! I didnt' know that either! LOL!
  • Hmmm - well - since I so rarely eat out that little bit of butter just isn't gonna concern me, LOL...
  • Okay, mine is that I went to the gym the past three days. YAY!!
  • Today was the 100th day of school and we had a celebration. My class brought in a snack and they had to have 100 pieces of that snack. WELL....kids brought in everything. We had M&Ms, Hershey Kisses, Skettles, crackers, and tons of other stuff. We combined it and created a "trail mix" snack with all of the food. The kids had to divide it out among each other equally. To make the long story short, my kids made a snack bag for me on my desk. I didn't know what they were doing until I went to my desk at the end of the day and there was all kinds of food. I almost grabbed a handful and started chowing down, but I didn't. I grabbed the garbage can and threw it away. That was close. I almost fell off the wagon. I guess I will just dream of eating it.
  • Way to go Melissa!! That is awsome!
  • Excellent - I could have thought of a million rationalizations to eat that - VERY well done!!! Your efforts will pay off - you'll see!
  • Melissa - that is absolutely fantastic. I will think of you next time I want to eat chips.

I started doing ab crunches on the stability ball instead of the bench.
