I'm back with butterflies in my stomach

  • Ok guys.I guess I've bean neglecting my diet to a degree. I haven't logged in in a while and have bean doing the diet half heartedly but my excuse is ... a guy.Tis doesn't pertain to dieting much but I'm in the sharing mood so.... I have litterally spent every possable moment of my Christmas break with one of my "friends"(long day trips with him and my son and long talks and drives) and am now a little bum to have to go back to college. the semester started this week and I already long for his company. I am absolutly smitten and am trying to channel my focus into losing the weight so I can strut my stuff for my new guy.

We are just friends but we both have discussed our feelings about eachother. I have to finish college and we are trying to take it slow. We don't want to lose the friendship we have and are trying to do it the "Biblical" way. Oh its hard but he want to show he can respect me by waiting.

So I apologize for neglecting to post.
I have still bean losing, just a little slower. I have dropped a total of 11 lb now. I got my first rose last week!!!

  • Congrats on your first rose.......and the 11 lbs. It is nice to see you back with us....I wondered what happened to you.

Sounds like a very special friend in deed...how nice for you and him!! Yep, a very good reason to encourage the weight loss.

    Good luck with school, Phyllis
  • Welcome back!!!
  • Hi! Welcome back!!
  • Welcome back! First rose? Sounds like a great guy... isn't being smitten fun?
  • Oh yes it is great fun! I'm learning to be patient though. I was head over heels for him before he even noticed me so I'm a little futher along than he.I'm just waiting for him to catch up. We have to have something other than puppy love going on I just can't say anything yet. You know how guys can be scared off easily. So I am just enjoying where we are now.
I am hoping to get my second rose soon. I'm now back into my exercises, I got a new exersise DVD for my exercise ball. At first I wasn't sure it was enough to be called exersise, seemed too relaxing and mellow. Boy was I rong, my arms and legs are so tired and I can feel a difference.
  • Congrats on the rose! How exciting! Isn't it fun to open the mail and find them?

Now I'm just going to have to figure out how to resolve the conflict between having my husband buy me roses when I lose 5 lbs and telling him my weight!
  • Men don't really care about that - Go for the roses!
