High-risk Preg. and going crazy with no exercise!

  • Hello!
    I am 32 weeks prego, and am really missing working out! I was doing great until about 4 months, when I started to get bad pelvic pain after being active...so since then I havent been able to do too much, and am also having a rough pregnancy, with our baby having cysts on its kidneys, so there is very low amniotic fluid.
    I will probably be induced in February, although my due date isn't till March 6.

  • Pg won't last forever. I know you miss it, but you gotta do what is best for baby. I hope your induction goes well. {{hugs}}
  • I agree with Flower.
  • Please take it easy and do whats best for the baby right now. Once its born, you can start exercising.
  • That must be frustrating... Drink lots of extra water if your fluid is low. Hugs!
  • Hang in there, you don't have to much further to go. Definitely drink lots of water. That's great that you have hit 32 weeks with low fluid, etc. Take it easy and I hope the time goes by fast for you.
  • Hey, I'm due March 7! How about that.

    At 30 weeks I had some unexplained bleeding, and was told to not exercise, but not put on bed rest. Then at 32 weeks started having some high b.p. Not terribly high, but again, just supposed to rest a lot, nothing strenuous. I really miss it.

    With my daughter, I was on full bed rest for the last 6 weeks of the pregnancy. THAT was tough. And it made recovering from delivery extremely difficult for me. So I hope to avoid that this time around.

    I just had an u/s yesterday and this baby is much bigger than his sister was! So, because of that and my high b.p. I will be having him sometime in February. If I don't go into labor on my own, I'll be induced before the end of the month I think.

    So, just hang in there... it does make it difficult, to feel good about yourself, to have energy, etc. I just try to remember this DESIRE I have to workout and hope I still have it postpartum!
  • I had to drop out of exercise about the same time along because of hip and back pain. I found that sitting on a body ball, lifting dumbells and doing stretches not only filled some of the void, but also HELPED my back and hip aches.
