How do you cook your veggies?

  • You know I think I have tried it all steam them in a steamer and microwaved, grilled, boiled, stir fried but you know the best way I have found to cook veggies?? Lay out a piece of aluminum foil, put veggies on foil, season them up, then wrap them up in the foil and cooke them in the oven for about 15-20 mins on about 325 and they come out so flavorful and tasty!!! They steam right there in the foil and all the seasoning stay in there with them!

HOw do you cook your veggies?
  • I did somethng like that recently, you just put a bunch of cut up veggies in a casserole dish, toss them with bit of italian salad dressing. Roast them till almost tender then sprinkle fresh bread crumbs and a bit of parm on them. back in the oven till the topping is crisp! Totally Rocks! The recipe is in my new favorite cookbook "Eat, Shrink and be Merry"
  • Susie that sounds wonderful....going to try that.

I like them cooked on the grill with a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper but then we can do that all year round here in Florida.
  • I eat the veggies alot like the rest of you but i am wondering for the ones that you put in the foil do they have to be fresh or can they be frozen ones? thanks!
  • You can probably do that with the froxzen ones too, not sure how long you would cook them but you just have to keep checking on them to see
  • Yum! I love that idea~!
  • I have always steamed mine in the microwave. I use a container made by Pampered Chef and it works great. I am going to start putting them in the oven. I have the same question. What do you do with the frozen ones?
  • I don't see why you couldn't do the frozen the same way.
  • I am definitely going to try it this way and especially with the italian seasoning packet. I fixed chicken with italian seasoning tonight and it was delicious.
