Need a *200* Weight Loss Buddy!

  • Hi girls.

    I haven't come right out and asked for a buddy yet, but I think that I might.
    I weighed in the other day at 218 and I am sure in the last couple of days its gone up, certainly not down.

    I am getting married in less than 7 months and I need some help. I need someone who knows what it feels like to be in the 200's. Someone who is holding onto a pair of pants from 10 years ago just in case you can fit in them someday! Someone who will probably cry if they see the scale hit 199! Ha.

    I would like to email someone a couple days a week (more or less) with some details and struggles of the week. I would like to have to send my info to someone a couple times a week just to keep me accountable. Right now, my future husband doesn't even know what I weigh.

    I need to make things happen and I need to start NOW. Anyone want to make the commitment with me? Starting a weigh in on Monday Morning?

    Getting married: August 12, 06
    Long Term Relationship for 7 years, got a little too comfy if you know what I mean.
    Weigh In last week: 218, probably 220 right now.
    Goal: 175


  • I'd probably be too young and I don't know how comitted I could be to my diet with my family and all but I'm willing to give it a go and be your buddy. I do really need as much support as I can get as I'm sure you do too. I guess I could be a last resort buddy for you though if you don't get any better offers let me know.
  • Always up for being a supportive member for anyone on this site. I check in typically once or twice a day. I have meet up with a few other "buddies" but it never seems to last more a couple excahnges. I am in this for the long haul. I have a lot of plans this year what would be a great chance to show off the new me, but most importantly I am doing this for me.

    I am in the high 200s and hoping to get to 180 and then the final goal will be 180.

    I am 29 - 30 later this year. Married with one child. I work full time and my husband is away about 50% on business trips so it can get to be difficult when it is just me and a three year old.

    Right now I am watching calories and starting to explore different dvd options throug netflix and the library before I put out additional cost on something I may get bored with in a couple days. I have been here for a couple weeks and am grateful for the support and accountabilty I have from this site.

    I'm Kristi and I weigh around 260 lbs which is starting to get depressing. I started last week with counting calories and although I haven't been perfect, I'm proud of what I've done so far. I'm trying to walk for 45 min. each day at a good pace. I'm a single mom of 2 ( son is almost 12 and my daughter is 15 months). I would love to have someone else to be accountable to. Get back to me and we can start together on Monday.
