OK - Trying Again - need a coach

  • Hey there - I'm new to this site, I can't believe it but I posted this afternoon and it took me forever to find my original post. So now I know I"m part of the 30 something forum.

I"m 38 - overweight mom of two boys, ages 8 and 11. I am going to try and try to be good. I am an repeat failure. I start diet-exercise and give up before I really get started. I need help. I need to have someone to coach me, kick my butt when I screw up and keep me on the straight and narrow. Any takers? I mean it I NEED HELP.

    Anyone ... anyone...
  • Sue, First of all Welcome to 3 Fat Chicks. I think it is great that you are trying once again to loose the weight. All of us are here for each other, as I think you will find out for yourself. We normally do our chating at the week of thread. We do our share of 'falling" too, but we manage to "pick ourselves up by the bootstraps" (You will find I like country) We also share our joys and highs with each other because it does help. We will be glad to help out.

All of that to say, come join us. Dont be afraid. It can be a little intimidating at first, until you get to know us. We promise to not bite.

  • Hi Sue! Let's help each other!
    Hi Sue!

Let's help each other. I've been working on my weight loss for some time now....and I know what you mean. I have lost 50lbs....but I still have about 70lbs to go. I am 34, mother of three....Mandi is 14, Mike is 11, and Joey is 8. Boy, they do keep me busy! Anyway, I would love to help coach as long as can be my cheering squad....I really need that sometimes.

    Hugs,
  • I am so proud of you - loosing 50 lbs. is amazing. You are my idol. Yes - we will help each other. We can do it! Today I've done pretty good. Cheerios and a glass of skim milk for breakfast. Cheerios for snack (I like Cheerios), one diet coke and two 20 oz. of water. Last night I did a step aerobics tape for 15 minutes. Sounds like a short amount of time I know but at least I did something. I'm counting today as my first day since yesterday I had donuts for breakfast - (that was before I found this site). So I added a tracker. Let's the world (or at least you guys) know my weight! OMG I haven't revealed that to anyone but my doctor in years!! By the way I'm 5'10".
  • I'll kick your butt into gear if you keep my butt into gear LOL!!

It isn't easy losing weight it is hard. You need to wake up everyday and have a plan and try to keep on track and that ain't easy to do. Especially if you don't see the scale moving..

I try to keep on track by always drinking my water and I do try to keep a journal of what I eat mentally-- I should write it down but I am too lazy.

Good lUck-- I know I need to check these boards everyday and start posting-- that will keep me on track..
  • Hi Sue! Let's help each other!
    Hi Sue,
Okay, here's the latest and greatest. I walked a total of 24.25miles last week....and did my strength training! I also lost a total of 6lbs! I worked my butt off....but it was worth it. I also started eating breakfast....that is helping me. Anyway, there is the totals!!
    Hugs
