Did you know: Fact about Green Tea

  • Here’s a live it well factoid you may not know. Green Tea provides amazing health benefits. The Chinese have known this since ancient times. They use green tea to treat everything from headaches to depression. But there’s something even more exciting about green tea that I learned recently and want to share with you. Green tea contains an essential compound called EGCG that can actually help you lose weight. EGCG is a powerful antioxidant. Researchers have found that EGCG can help you burn calories, lower bad cholesterol levels and even kill cancer cells without harming healthy ones. The only possible side effect is insomnia from the caffeine it contains. But that’s only if you drink a lot. There’s actually less than half the amount of caffeine in a cup of green tea than there is in a cup of coffee. So, here’s an idea: Why not include a cup of green tea with breakfast in the morning or with your mid afternoon snack when you need that post lunch pick me up? You can even add some lemon.

  • I THINK I have those vitamins. I know its a womans vitamin. Speaking of......... I better go take them!
  • I take the One A Day vitamin with Green Tea. It doesn't do a darn thing as far as weight loss goes (for me). But I figure the green tea has other amazing attributes, so I stick with it. I've been taking it daily for about a year now.
