New Here

  • Hey!

    I have a few questions. . .

#1. Has anyone here lost a 100 lbs or more, if so, did you have problems with excessive skin, especially being young?

#2. What did/do you do for weight loss?

#3. Do you exercise, what type of exercise do you do?

#4. Anyone have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)?

At my lowest, I'd lost nearly 100 lbs. and had some excess skin problems. I'm 21. Mostly it was my breasts and belly "spare tire."
  • Do you still have th skin problem?
  • hehee - I'm up about 30-40 lbs., so the skin is filled out pretty well right now! Some people say their problems go away after several years, some need surgery to correct. It's different for everyone.
  • I have lost 88lbs and don't have any excess skin problems so far. To lose weight I have just been eating with more wisdom and less volume. I trrrryyyy to exercise and on average (over the course of a year) I probably exercise for 45 min a week. But I am trying to increase that (some weeks I am gung-ho and others I am just too lazy to do anything...).
  • Hi and Welcome!

I've only just started my weight loss journey so I don't know about the excessive skin, but I do have PCOS. I was diagnosed last summer. There is a PCOS/Insulin Resistance forum under dieting with obstacles that has some helpful info and can be a good place to vent frustrations - it doesnt' seem terribly active to me, though.
