  • It's the start of the new year, let's see how how we're bringing in '06! Everyone is welcome to join is 3FC general weigh in thread. Just jump in whenever your official weigh in day rolls around.

Me: 204.5, up half a pound from last week, up 2.5 pounds from my lowest weight. Well, the holidays are officially over now. This week is the last of the short work weeks for me for a while. And short work weeks are the public enemy #1 to my losing weight. I do still feel that I am back on track, and expect to start having good weigh ins again, soon.
  • I lost 3 pounds!!! I have been exercising more, well, longer this past week due to injurying my knee, I did not exercise for 2 days. But when my knee was better, I exercised 15 minutes longer each day. I even drank more water. I feel good!

  • Down 1 pound...I wish I measured myself (inches) when I started, because I can feel changes in my body composition more than weight changes now.
  • Down one pound since Tuesday (I think that was when I weighed in to officially start this thing off) Even with my diet setbacks I've had over the week...very happy!
  • My weigh-in was Wednesday and I am down two pounds from last Wednesday, Dec. 28. I am amazed; this is my biggest weight loss for one week so far. And I maintained my weight of 179 over Christmas, for which I am very thankful because I ate a lot. I guess my newly developed muscles are doing their jobs!
  • I'm new....again. I weighed myself this morning at 177. My goal is to lose 4 pounds/month.

I'm ready to get going!!! Forward folds will be much better w/o a belly
  • 192.5 this morning.. after a cookie binge. Not so proud.. so I'm making up for it today.
  • 194 this morning - down 2 lbs. since last Friday. The scale is finally heading downwards again after being up and down a pound a week since Thanksgiving. The only thing I'm doing different is drinking a lot more water. Must be working!
  • Down 4 lbs. since last Thursday . I know I can't continue at this rate but it sure would be nice! Still avoiding sugar like the plague, no headaches this week so my body must be adjusting. Anyone tried the Tropicana Sugar-Free OrangeAde 0-sugar 0-calories? It comes in a 2 liter bottle and tastes really good.
Looks like everyone has had a great week, thanks for the support !

  • I'm at 158.5, down from 163 on December 23rd. That's 21.5 pounds lighter than my heaviest and only 5 pounds heavier than my lightest. (did that make sense?) And 25 pounds from my goal!

Actually, I'm a little concerned about how much I've lost. It seems too fast, but I'm eating fairly normally and most importantly I'm not hungry. Is this the typical start-of-a-new-diet water weight loss, or should I be concerned?

  • Not sure if it's too concerning...The first week when I started losing weight, years ago, I lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks!!! My doctor says that's pretty normal for the first couple weeks. On "The Biggest Loser," they drop double digits for a couple weeks...some of the heavier ones kept going for 5 weeks!

But, I personaly wouldn't worry about it..just make sure you're hydrated really well, and you eat properly. If you're losing too much weight in the next couple weeks, maybe you should "slow down" a bit.

  • I have my first weigh in tomorrow morning Wish me luck!
  • 204, down 2 lbs. I also changed scales, so it may not be exact, but going to take this as the start of this week.
  • Down to 135.

I think I am losing weight too fast. I don't think I am eating enough. I'm so busy, but I try to eat, it's not that I *don't* want to, it's that I don't have time to eat! And everything around me is junk. I do bring my lunches, but after that I'm SOL.

  • Down to 172 now and lost another 1 inch in my waist. I have lost a total of 8 inches around my waist...woohoo
