Hope everyone has a great day OP. Day 3, P1 foe me. I have started with bacon and coffee.
Today after wotk I am going to take our walk as it was really cold last night but we still got 40 min in. I work bingo tonight for an hour....I love this.

Ugh - it's 2:30 am my time, and after 3 hours of sleep, I'm wide awake - thanks to DH! Ladies, I can say without reservation, it is not nice to tickle the foot of a sleeping arachnophobe, no matter how affectionately you may mean it! Maybe I'll punish him by making him drive to campus to get his own textbook instead of being nice and doing it for him!

I've got a busy day (surprise!). Classes start today - geology and social psych. Plus I've got more cooking to do today: I plan to make a double batch or two of Mamacita's Amazing Veggie Soup (love that stuff), a quad batch of chili, and I don't know what else yet. So far I've got 10 dump chicken dinners, 2 casseroles, and 4 meal-size (plus leftover) portions of salmon, so that's 16 dinner main dishes taken care of, plus stew for DH. The chili will be another 4 meals, which will leave me with 8 meals to prepare (for a month's supply).

Today I go back to work after being off for almost 2 weeks. I teach kindergarten and the students are going to be grumpy and off the wall. I am going to take it slow and I must remember to get rid of all that chocolate candy that is in my desk that I got for holiday presents from the kids.

I think I am going to take a boiled egg for breakfast and 3 slices of Low fat turkey bologna for a morning snack. Lunch is left over chili ( again, but it is good). Dinner is going to be a peice of steak and collard greens along with a small salad.

Have to remember to drink WATER.

I think next I will take a cue from Heather and cook some make ahead meals on Sunday so I have them ready to go on the weekdays.

chilichick - thanks for the reminder! Yesterday I was so busy cooking, I forgot to drink water or eat anything until the evening! How can I be cooking, surrounded by food, and forget to eat??? Maybe that's how skinny chefs manage to stay skinny!

It's going to be a busy day for me, too. I have to leave straight from Curves to take the girls to school, so I'm taking a change of clothes with me. Then there's a lot of errands and running around, etc. Phase 1 is going well for me, my scale is down 1 lb. already! I'm having Mock Oatmeal for breakkie today, and have a chicken salad w/ lots of veggies for lunch. The Peanut Butter Cup has been a real lifesaver for me at nights! I'm making something using Flounder for supper, haven't decided how to use it yet.

Heather ~ You ARE a cooking machine, with all those prepared dinners! I should borrow your idea!

Tazcat ~ I used to be a bingo fanatic, but haven't gone for a couple years now. That was always a lot of fun. Good for you for walking even in the cold!

Chilichick ~ It must be hard going back to work after having 2 weeks off. I bet they flew by for you, too. I hear you RE drinking water. That's a real problem for me, but I'm working on it.

morning chicks thanks for the warm welcome back on monday,yesterday was crazy, had to go buy a new washer before work, then had to go try to exchange a pair of boots after work buy the time I got home the kids had taken over the puter, I am not allowed to use the internet at work so I can't get on there, well I have to dash as I have to go to the bank before work I will try to pop on tonight and catch up with everyone. Ruthie, your girls sound like living with perpetual toddlers! Aren't they fun. Just a quickie - down to 214.5 this am!!!! WoooHooo, 5 lbs in less than a week - yes, I know it's mostly water, but I never gained back the "water" I lost on my last big SBD push, so I'll take it!

Anyhow, living with Lucy IS definitely exciting, Ottoette. The fun thing for the morning was that she grabbed and ate three walnuts, shells and all! She didn't eat the lenses out of my glasses this time so she may have felt she needed the roughage! , I think!

Taz, I keep forgetting you are up an hour before the rest of us. It sounds like you are having fun in your new life. An hour working a BINGO? When I get stuck working one, it's about 4-5 hours from start to finish. I guess that's because of the money.

Heather, you are the queen of pre-cooked meals. What an effort and what a good idea to get you safely through the next semester. Let us know how some of the recipes turn out when frozen.

Chilichick, I didn't know you taught kindergarten. What a hero! I love little kids but am afraid my patience runs thin after a few hours. Forty years ago, I was much better!

Cottage, funny but I am having chicken salad for lunch today too! I am having problems drinking water too. When running errands, it's hard to drink enough unless you have a Port-a-Potty with you.

Little Chick, yesterday did sound busy. Did your washer croak or were you just doing an upgrade? I hope today is more relaxing for you.

Me? Well, I am going to make a start on the cellar today to get it ready for Macho Macedonian Romano. I should try to get a picture of him because you all seem to think he's a hunk. He does have plumber's cleavage and a hairy butt. (Schatzi, moderate me if you like!)

I also need to make yet another call to my optomotrist for glasses. This is getting pretty embarassing! Depending on when they book me in, I'll do a crabby Harry visit with Hershey. Lucy is on my ****-list at the moment and she knows it!

Time to get on with HUMP Day.

Morning Chicklets. Slightly frustrated even though I know I shouldn't be. Dropped 4 lbs water weight, but haven't dropped anything else since, and it's been a week. I'm getting all my water every day.... I know I'm doing WW so I'm not asking for advice, I'm just complaining. It's probably because I'm working out 5-6 times a week and building up muscle, but geez. I'm trying to judge by how my pants feel, but I just washed/dried them all so they're all snug anyway. Not sure if I'm going to hit my 4 lb goal for January. (I know it's only the freaking 4th. Again, I'm just whining.)

Good news is that it's Day 4 Smoke Free, and kick boxing wasn't near as hard as usual last night. I can breathe so much easier and I have so much more energy. I still got all sweaty, but that's to be expected. I'm just ready for some of this working out to make me drop weight instead of stay the same.

Day 3, P1. Cranky morning, I have a sinus infection I think, and my son was dawdling horribly before school. He wouldn't let our neighbor in the car for carpool (he's 5) and then in my huff out the driveway, I ran over the garbage can and spread all sorts of nasty all over the street. That was gross to clean up. My nosy neighbor down the street the other way, who couldn't possibly see anything comes out and is all "oh what happened ? I saw you hit the can" (she must have been craning her neck out the window to see that). Then my 2 year old is screaming when we got back home that she missed her favorite TV show. Its only 8:15 am. I have to get my dd off to preschool in a few minutes and then I am RUNNING to Starbuckies for a skim cap. I have to go eat real quick before I go. Anyway, normally I would have had some chocolate to make me happy, very hard keeping my cool today. G*d give me strength today. ARGH!!!

Morning chicks! Ruth, Lucy is a bad, bad girl! The dog toy manufacturers should definitely look into making glasses-shaped chewies just for her!

Well, I'm off to school in a few minutes for another exciting day of research and whatnot. Today I'm going to be putting together a Power Point presentation of a proposal I just wrote, then I'll be giving the presentation sometime soon. I'm already looking forward to having a quiet evening at home with hubby.

I've been MIA, but with a very good reason. DD and SIL are here from La La Land. We were in TN visiting the cousins Monday and yesterday.

DH and DD (the elder) are at work and I'm the only other human awake at the moment, so I have time to peek in and say hello.

Schatzi, congrats on being our newest moderator!

Heather, I'm so glad you like the soup recipe. I'm a little amazed by how well it went over with everyone.

I think Thursday, after the kids leave, I'm going to make a pot of it myself and see if it'll kick start me back into a losing mode. I've been such a bad, bad girl. Lucy should shove over and make room for me in the doghouse!

Not much news on the job front...had an interview on Friday. Both the bosses seem to like me and they sounded very enthusiastic about having me as an employee. I filled out and dh faxed back my application. I should hear something this next week. In the meantime, I was approved for unemployment benefits and should have a check next Friday before we leave on our cruise. Until then, belts are being worn tighter.

Well, I suppose I should get my shower out of the way before the kids wake up. DD (the elder) called and suggested we drive up her way and she'll give us a tour of her subdivision and then we can all go to lunch.
