Can I start a new NSV thread?

  • I went to JCPenney today, looking for exercise clothes. I tried on regular misses-size workout pants from Adidas, and they fit! They're an XL, but it's still a big deal to me, since pretty much everything I've bought in the last few years was in a plus size store/department or specialty catalog. I got a pair of pants and a pair of capris, but I'm taking the pants back for another pair of capris. I wore them for kickboxing tonight, and it felt great!
  • CONGRATS - on the fabulous shopping experience - and the kickboxing will help when the sales are on and you have to fight your way to the rack for a size L or even a Medium!

    Good job!
  • Congratulations! Isn't it wonderful buying non-plus-size clothes? We'll never go back! Never!
  • i can not wait till i can buy normal clothes again!!! that gives me so much insiration
  • I, too, dream of this day. Congratulations!
  • Maria,
Congratulations on leaving plus sizes behind!!! That is such a great feeling. You're doing great.
Hey, I'll hop on this express too. I asked for gifts in size XL instead of 1X and it worked out great. I have a wonderful sweater and pant combo from Coldwater Creek in lavendar. I love it. It fits!! And it feels like this is a very important goal in my fitness campaign. Good luck to us all.

  • Another NSV from me. Tonight I made lean hamburger patties as part of dinner. Turns out the spices in the new recipe didn't really make the burger too great and I threw out the extra burgers so I wouldn't be tempted to snack on something I didn't even like. May not make sense to anyone, but I've done this in the past. Better to throw it out than be "guilted" into eating it because no one else wants it!

  • Judy, I'm guilty of eating food that I don't even like. Congratulations!
  • thanks Vickie. It's always good to know I'm not alone and that other really nice people out there are struggling with the same things. Here's a for us all.
