Thoughtful Thursday Menu, December 22, 2005

  • Breakfast: Oatmeal made with skim and splenda

    Lunch: Multi-grain bread toast with smart balance

    Dinner: Cornmeal crust pizza with mushrooms and fresh garlic
  • My menu might take more thought than I'm willing to give it right now!

    Breakfast: was lazy and didn't have anything

    Lunch: 1/2 PB sandwich, millk

    (Water at the movie, popcorn and raisins)

    Dinner: turkey veggie chili, one roll with Take Control margarine
  • big sf challenge day for me. we pick up the grands after lunch and go see king kong. then they spend the night.

  • I could barely get thru a movie w/no popcorn - the smell alone would drive me crazy!! Good for you Kathy.

    The plan:

    Breakfast - way too late and not enuf: decaf w/light cream, apple/muesli probiotic yogurt

    Lunch: eggplant/chickpea salad from grocery store (in a tomato sauce w/onions - basically all core?)
    baby carrots & dip

    Snack: apple or 2 tangerines

    Dinner:? hey vickie - not much planning here either? Need to get dh to defrost something or better yet cook something!

  • (pout pout) frouf, i'm not having popcorn at the movies either. do i get an attagirl, too? however, i'm already crazy so popcorn smell should have no effect on me.

    Good for you for avoiding the popcorn - you are a better (and stronger) woman than me!

  • I didn't avoid the popcorn -- instead I took my box of raisins and added it into a small bag of popcorn but only ate about 1/3 of the whole thing. I drank a bottle of water too.
  • I had to edit my meals for today. I'm in big time pity/emotional eating mode. I'll be back on program tomorrow. The pizza hasn't arrived yet. I'll try not to eat too much. Don't want veggies or fruit. See you guys.....I'm not always good.
  • PMS delight menu:

    b: sf ff "chocolate" (but really bran!!) muffin, tea with splenda and 1 pt lemon juice
    l: super lean beef cut, pan-broiled, with sf rye bread (1 pt per slice), pickles, sf dr. pepper
    d: quinona pasta primavera with tvp meatballs (sounds gross but it was really good!)
    snack: sf candy
    extra drinks: bottled waters! and unsweetened iced tea
  • Should I edit yet again to add my 3 glasses of red wine? Nahhhh ... I don't think I will.
