Ok hopefully that made sense, but I was wondering if any of you could tell me the carb count on those already made up, ready to eat whole chickens you can buy at the store. Thanks
I don't go to Sam's and I've never heard of Meijer or Kroger, but the giant ones at my Pick N Save are 0 per serving because they are coated in seasoning, not glazes. I normally count it at 1 per serving because most seasoning blends I have found are a little less than one per teaspoon. It's better to have more carbs from that than going to KFC and getting the breaded chicken like my dad did. He's supposedly doing atkins, but he's going to hurt himself in the same way he did the last time he was on it. He does it strict for a couple days, but then binges a few days a week on high carb items and still eats the same fats and oils like on atkins but more so because of the other binge items. He worries me.
Anyways, sorry, off topic. I would just call the stores and ask if their rotisserie chicken is made with a sugar glaze or dry rubs and if they know what's in the rub. What's nice about the Pick N Save ones is that they have the ingredients and nutrition right on the container.
Good luck
Andrea
