My Little Victory

  • I finally hit that bump over 200 and hit 199.8. I was soooo excited when I stepped on that scale this morning. This is probably my biggest milestone untilI hit my goal weight, and I don't even really know what that is going to be yet.

Even more important to me though, although I do like to watch the scale go down, it's even better when I can fit into smaller sizes. For the longest time, as long as I can even remember really, I wore size 16 in jeans. (For while, even 18's ...yikes) Finally, just last week, my pants kept getting more and more loose so I broke down and bought some 14's. (I was so happy when they fit, a little tight at first, but still fit.) Then, just after like 2 times of wearing them, they kept sliding down. So, after I was all happy about breaking that 200 lb mark, I went in just to see if I could fit into some 12's today and...I could! I bought 2 new pairs of pants.

Shopping is so much more fun now, I love not having to look for the largest sizes anymore- now my biggest concern is just being able to find them long enough, which will always be a challenge seeing as I am 5'11''.

Anyway! I just had to share.

  • CONGRATS!! I remember the day I was under the 220 mark. I forgot to weigh myself for a couple week because my MIL stayed for 2 weeks at our house for the 4th of July party/family reunion. She asked if I had a scale. I said "sure." I brought it out and she weighed herself. She said she lost 4 pounds!! I was excited for her so I decided to weigh myself. At that time I weighed 208. I thought "I hope I am at least to 200." Low & behold, I weighed in at 192!!!! I lost 16 pounds in 2 1/2 weeks!!!!

I felt like I won the lottery!! That motivated me to lose more weight. Well, now I am at 185 but am on the road to recovery.
