New Here ... Looking For Dancingangel!

  • HI everyone ... and especially DancingAngel! You're the reason I joined this community!!!

I read a post from last week where you seemed to be saying you were 'reviewing' exercise videos, and that caught my interest big time ...

I've been tolerating Leslie Sansone because ALL I'm wanting is something cardio for 3-4 miles worth ... no extra anything ... JUST CARDIO ... and her video is perfect for that, but she's so very irritating. TALK TALK TALK ...

Does anyone make a video where they aren't talking the whole time? I just want to hear the music and be told when to change direction / change steps / etc. ... and occasionally they can do some outloud counting!

    IS THERE ANYTHING LIKE THAT?

I'd love to be able to preview videos to see if I like them, b/4 I buy them. How do you do that??? Thanks for helping me!!!!
  • I've been doing my WATP DVD's with the sound down and my own music on. All that chatting got to me too!
  • Hi, I just saw this!

I just love workout videos, and fortunately I do have a high tolerance for instructors' talking. However, there are DVDs out there that have the option of music only, so you might want to check your library to see about that. I can't think of any right off the top of my head, although if I do, I'll come here and let you know.

My other suggestion would be The Firm, Kick Butt and FitPrime DVDs. The instructors aren't chatty at all, but basically just give you the moves and count. They are all intermediate level (or advanced in a few cases), but they are all pretty easy to keep up with once you learn the names of the moves (for example, a "full-form squat" is always the same move). They are all very effective. They do require some equipment, but again maybe look at the library and preview some of them to see what you think!

Exercise videos give you a great workout in your own home. The only person you are accountable to is yourself. Some people prefer the gym where there are others around to motivate you, but for me videos are just right! I hope you find something that works out well for you.
