Why don't we get a 'menstruation-bloat' pass for weigh-in day?

  • MAN! I would LOVE it if we could have one week (YOU know what I'm talikn' about! The PMS/Menstruation week where we AGIN 2-10 pounds in BLOAT!).

    I am the ONLY menstruating woman in a group full o' sweet ol' grannies and it's not fair to be dealing with this! It's my first time reaching this point in my cycle (I just started a month ago) and I DON'T want to weigh-in today and see the gain (which I KNOW is bloat!).

    Okay, rant over. Please offer encouragement, , support or a rant of your own.
  • They don't offer the free PMS pass because I would have used one last week, the week before, AND the week before.

    I think my group is the youngest one in our region - we have one grandma, but the rest of us are 35-45 years old.
  • Who knows...you may be pleasantly surprised. You've been eating and working out hard so hang in there - don't get discouraged!!

  • I know it's discouraging to have a PMS gain, but you just have to remember that that's all it is. Besides, you'll have a HUGE loss next week to make up for it! So be sure to bring something good for the Biggest Loser basket!

    Hey! You were right! I'm starting to feel like the "girl who cried wolf"

    I actually showed a LOSS of 1 pound! If you factor in that I AM retaining water, I should have a decent loss next week Man am I pleased! I have been working out (sometimes 2 times a day) and really watching what I eat and it's working, despite my cycle!!!

    I am so happy!

  • WoooHooooo!!! Good for you!! I happened to do the same thing this week (pms bloating, but still lost) so oh boy watch out next week! It sounds like you are on the right track. The hardest thing to do is face the scales when you think you are up. That's when it's the most important time to make sure you weigh in.

    You know, I feel like NOT weighing in if I fear I am up...even if I know it's bloat, if I think I'll be up, I feel so ashamed!
