Question for all you Firm Believers!

  • I have heard great things on this site about The Firm tapes, however I am confused with all the choices of workouts! My VCR just bit the dust (along with ALL my workout tapes), so all I have is a DVD Player and not one workout DVD. So I am looking for some great new workouts--I think I am going to order Kathy Smith Kickboxing, The Crunch Pilates 3-pack, and I'd like to get a Firm Set. I'd like either the Body Sculpting System, Body Sculpting 2 System or the new Transfirmer System. Does anyone have a preference for either of these sets? I would appreciate any feedback I could get! Thanks!

  • I have not tried the BSS4 /Tranfrimer system, but I have used the TF at the studio when I take classes there. I am not sure what level you are, but I think for intermediate/advanced the BSS3 & 4 systems are better. BSS1 & 2 are my faves b/c I refuse to buy another step that has nowhere to go.
The BSS3 & 4 incline boxes really stretch the calf muscle when you use iit for cardio, and for my weak legs, I do not like it, hence my choice of BSS1 & 2. I do however love the incline when it comes to doing lunges.
IMO, if you choose to get all of the systems or have intentions of it, start with BSS4, then get the BSS3 and either 1 or 2 can be added and modified later.
Though if you already have a Fanny Lifter, you might want to just stick with BSS1 or 2.
