A month from today................never mind!

I woke to doggie kisses this morning. Lucy must have bashed the door enough to get it unlocked. I wish I had their enthusiasm in the mornings! The snow has my darlings very excited.

Candace (Gail's replacement) comes this morning. I am going to have her do some cleaning but also will have her do some lugging of Country Christmas costumes. The stairs are a killer for me! Baking for tomorrow's sale is yet to be done but will happen. Those darn pineapple cakes are too darn popular and always sell out but I do get tired of making them. I am going to make a rum cake for after church on Sunday which will give me a bit of baking variety.

So how is everyone after yesterdays feeding frenzy? It wasn't turkey day here but I feel the need for lots of water and veggies today.

morning Ruth! I survived Turkey Day! I ate healthy and worked out for an hour before we sat down to eat!...but I sure am glad its over...now all i have to do is somehow get rid of all the leftovers...

Major reality check!!! So, yesterday I just kinda of ate when hungry, didn’t stress about content. Technically nothing was “bad” but the craving and hunger was insane. I was lethargic and my body has been achey. For a while I have been limiting my carbs and roughly following South Beach. As with other ideas and plans I am not really losing weight. I was not gaining tho. I had all the turkey fixins on Sunday and then left over stuffing, pie etc....yesterday I had a turkey sandwich for breakfast. I was ravenous by 10 and had another sandwich. I had a salad for lunch but was starving an hour later. For supper I made turkey tetrazini with whole wheat pasta and salad. I ate well. I went for a haircut at a neighbours and came home and ate all the leftovers that were enough for another dinner for 4.
This is how I ate all the time for a couple of years prior to trying to get healthier( 2 years ago). I felt like crap.
It would appear that although my weight loss stinks, how I feel physically is massively improved. Nice wake up call.

Today I will follow south beach phase 1.I will not eat bread.

We are snowed in. All the schools are closed. Most of my extra kids are home. One crazy Mom brought her kids but I assume she will be back soon.

There is a silent auction at the playschool and I have an Avon basket in it and I wanted to take up brochures and network.I hope it is still going. A friend is taking books to another town and stuffing mailboxes for me in exchange for my discount off her products. This is my big holiday push time. I have til Dec 4 to to make the most of this. My dear hubby was kinda sweet and thoughtful last night. So unusual that I was looking for an ulterior motive and there wasn’t one. LOL!

Today i want to house clean and do laundry. I will do my yoga tape. I have a few hours of shovelling to do outside!

I did a “gossip” test last week. I had become friends in town here with a family. it seemed there was always drama. I took a big step back when it involved my kids.They denied everythign and had lots of excuses and blamed others. The Dad had confronted me in Sept. Stupid drama. At storytime last week the woman told me something about someone. I saw the someone the next day and congratulated them. It was not true. So the someone called the woman, the woman called me yesterday to tell me I had misunderstood her. LOL!!! NOT! So these people who have been telling me they are not involved in hurtful gossip and drama with others are full of crap. I was beginning to doubt my gut feelings.

Friday~
Snowed in again. Makes for a 4 day weekend!!!!!! It is beautiful out today. Not storming. Big fluffy flakes falling.
The playschool auction was great. I got some much in demand local hockey tickets. Had to hip check( seriously) and threaten a couple of guys to get them.
My body is sore from hours of shovelling and then standing all evening. It feels good. I have several hours of shovelling today once it stops snowing.
DS has 3 hockey games this weekend. I have the farmers market all weekend. there is a Christmas tour coming out from the city.
Much tidying to do again.

Food was better but not great yesterday. Aiming for great today.

The suitcases under my eyes have carry on luggage today.

Our neighbours to the south must be all turkeyed out and sleeping in!!

Good Morning Chicks

How was turkey day.. I did good except in the evening 4hrs after our main meal I went snacking on crackers,ice cream, and 1/2 danish. I'm up a lb,hoping it will come off by tomorrow.

There still something wrong with my side of the thread. I can't use the smilies and the other areas of posting[bold,size and color] HELP!! When hitting smiles it go back to the posting part of the thread. Am I doing something wrong.

Ruth-I saw the calender and its scary how time flying by. I like snow,but I guess not as much as your furbabies.Take it easy dear Ruth with your baking activities,maybe let your friend help you with baking them.

Angel-You did grteat exercsing before the meal,wow!! why didin't I think of that, I workout after being full and tired.Either freeze the leftovers and have it during the up coming month. Or give it to a family member.

Holly-I did the same thing look at above post.You had another sandwich I went for the danish......Well!! today alike you there no BREAD CARBS for me today.Sorry you go mixed up with gossip. I don't like other people talking about others I usually CHANGE the subject and if its still presist I walk away.

Have to go food shopping to make casseroles out of my leftovers. Don't believe in Christmas Shopping the day after Thanksgiving.To me people are wackoes getting up 3 A.M. for a few dollar sales.

Morning everyone....I'm up doing laundry from my visit with family. It was a lot of fun & a lot of bad foods! Back on phase 1 for the rest of the month!

Good late morning chickies!

Back to my job of taking care of me. It is the crappy time of year for me as I don't like the holidays but because of everyone else I have to do them and put on a happy face. I truly don't want to make it hard for my family. I have set a goal of ten pounds by New Year's which will allow me our usual family dinner and one dessert day. Sugar is not my friend and I have to give it up at least as my daily staple as I will eat nothing but white flour products and sugar, i.e, cookies, candy, and other goodies. Hopefully I will feel better about things when I get my cast off.

Everyone have a good day. My plan is to accumulate some of OP days for myself.

I use the keys on my keyboard to get the happy smiles and other ones I know.

Hello everyone!

I cannot believe how long I slept - it was after 1 pm when I woke up! I was just so exhausted from school and everything. Now hopefully I'll have enough energy to see me through the end of the quarter. DH and I had thought we'd go somewhere fun with DS today, since DH has a rare day off, but alas! It was raining cats and dogs. Great Danes and Pixie-bobs, at that. So, here we are, not doing anything especially remarkable, but at least we are together!
