Good Morning everyone!
Ruth - Yes, take your pain meds. It's a funny coincidence, but at one of my Bioethics committees the night before your surgery we had an MD pain specialist speak to us about pain control. To distill her philosophy, pain is never a good thing and it is easier to treat when it begins rather than waiting until it is severe. So, take the meds -- being a hero is actually not good for healing and hazardous to your health.
I will bet that when the Girls come home, they will intuitively know that you aren't feeling well and will be cautious around you.
H-ko - Bet you are looking forward to Winter break. When does it start for you?
Marianna - There's nothing like a coastal drive to get mentally away from it all.
Schatzi - What did we ever do before the Internet? Now it has become a necessity.
Beach bum - Oh, that darn scale! Better luck next week. Keep checkin' in; I find that it helps in good times and bad.
Last night I went overboard on a dessert I didn't plan to have. It was one of those that somebody ordered "for the table" and one of my favorites. I didn't use ALL of my extra ww points, but it certainly wasn't healthy from the SBD standpoint. Well, back on the horse I fell off of today.
We currently have no running water as there is a major pipe leak and the plumber will be here in an hour. This happened in the middle of the bathroom re-do which is set to be finished this weekend because we are hosting the big family to-do on Thursday. It will be a busy weekend.
Other news: the time is drawing near for my trip to Cuba! It is a licensed legal research trip with the bar association and I leave in 2 1/2 weeks. Spouses can't go unless they are attorneys, so this is just for me. I told my partner that this is a combination of my mid life crisis (I turn 50 4 days before we leave) and the senior trip I never had. Everybody please pray to the weather gods as I guess hurricane season isn't quite over yet.
Well, off to get ready for the plumber.
