  • Post a couple of menus with quantities and we'll take a look. This is a common problem when switching Phases.
  • I havent really been measuring my serving sizes, but i watch how much i serve myself, and its pretty moderate.

Heres what I ate yesterday and today

    Yesterday:
Breakfast- 2 scrambled eggs 1/2c cottage cheese
    Lunch-grilled sirlion slices w/peas
Dinner- sauteed (sp) bell peper and muchrooms 1/2c cottage cheese

    Today:
Breakfast- 2 scrambled eggs 1/2c cottage cheese
Lunch- 1 extra lean ground beef patty w/cheese baked sweet potatoe chips
    Snack- celery sticks w/hummus
Dinner- salad made w/dark greens, black beans, peperoni, feta cheese, avacado ..used southwest lime vinigarette dressing (it had zero sugar, and no sugars in the ingredients)

I know i dont always get my snacks in but im still in High School, and i eat lunch @ 10:30 am
  • The first thing that struck me was that both menus (especially the first) seemed mighty low on veggies. You should be eating a variety of veggies - 4 1/2 cups a day at least.

The first menu in particular just didn't seem like much food, as well. This is not a deprivation diet; make sure you eat enough, especially since you are in your teens - your body is still growing and needs more nutrients than an adult would need.

Also, be sure you get enough water, and make sure you get enough calcium and other nutrients - if you don't drink milk, then make sure you're getting enough from other sources such as cheese, broccoli, etc.

Hope this helps, and good luck!
  • The vegi thing struck me too. 12/ cup for breakfast and 2 cups for lunch and dinner makes it easy to track of your vegies. Alos does not sound like much food, no deprivation allowed on the beach. Good luck.
