Thursday menu, Nov. 10

  • Okay you guys know there's no catchy title when I start the menu thread, but I just need to get this party started!!

    My hourly small events, in no particular order:

    Boiled egg
    Banana
    6 Triscuits / 1 slice Lite Swiss
    1 oz. cashews
    1/2 sandwich with Simply Jif on 100% WW bread
    Natural applesauce
    Dill pickles
    Carrots / dill dip

    Can you tell it's a points day?

    Dinner will be a salad with FF 1000 Island and 3 oz. rotisserie chicken, plus milk
  • Kathy, I really like your idea for small snack meals. I may copy you one of these days. It has also made me think about what kind of snacks I am packing.
    OK, I'm counting points and trying to "eat sensibly."
    B: 1/2 peanut butter sandwich (Kathy's sounded so good!) (4)
    L: Lean Cuisine Ravioli (5); carrots w/ranch (1)
    S: applesauce (1)
    D: unsure, may be going out with a friend. If not, probably california margherita pizza (10 pts)
    S: popcorn (2)

    23 pts (24 is my limit)
  • melissa, popcorn (2)? is that a whole bag of 94% ff popcorn? i have had probs remembering how many pts in a whole bag. i'm thinking regular size bags not mini.

    b--oatmeal, cherry flavored cranberries, splenda, milk
    s--sf/ff pudding/granola
    l--spaghetti/1 pt diet bread/garlic spread/butter flavored pam
    d--lo pork loin, salad, corn on the cob
    s--maybe popcorn during survivor. would you believe i haven't had any popcorn all week? i keep writing it down but dont' get to it.
  • Melissa, feel free to do small meals with me anytime! It seems like I'm eating all day, but they're so small it doesn't matter. Plus I love having such a great variety to choose from during the day!
  • Sandra, to be honest I was just remembering points off the top of my head. I guess I should probably just count one point, I can't remember exactly! I think that it should be about 2 pts/bag.

    Kathy, I really do like the idea. I bought a bunch of LC and SO meals so I'm going to eat those first.
  • Breakfast snack: 2 pieces of Lite Rye Toast w/butter (3 points)
    Breakfast: oatmeal w/blueberries and ffmilk and Splenda
    lunch: imitation lobster salad w/ffmayo and celery
    snack: apple
    dinner: pork chop w/sweet potato corn and milk sauce
    snack diet cocoa made w/ffmilk (one of the gals mentioned milk and I know she's right!), popcorn if I need it.

  • Breakfast - sandwich made w/ red. cal eng. muf, 1 egg "fried" w/non-stick spray, 1 slice leftover pork tenderloin, & salsa (yummy)
    Snack: FF Plain yogurt w/ mashed banana & splenda
    Lunch: Salad w/ mixed deli & vinagrette, sliced cantaloupe
    Aft snack: apple (got some soup if I get hungrier)
    Dinner: roast chicken, butternut squash, spinach - the challenge will be to limit the amt of chicken I eat.
    Snack: Slim-a-Bear Kondike, popcorn if needed.
