Monday, A New Beginning

  • Hi Ladies! Well it is a new week and a new beginnning for me and everyone else! It is a new week to change the things we didn't like last week. It is a fresh start and I am determined to make it until Thursday on plan. It can be done and I know it. If I can make it until Thursday, then I can make it forever. And so can you!

    We need a challenge for everyone to stay on plan until Thursday! Are you with me?

    I need some inspiration! And this is my first baby step! Come on ladies! Let's move it and lose it! Penny

    Thanks for the call this morning. It really helped me and eleni helped a lot this morning to. I have a new outlook on things and hopefully it will help a lot.

    I am not going to stress about this any more. I am eating healthy and that is all I need to get me through. I know the weight will come off as long as I eat healthy and the way I am eating is much better for me without all the salt and sugar.

    I did put the scale in the closet thanks for that. I am sure it will be easier to not weigh myself if I can't see it.LOL Thanks.

    I hope everyone has a great day and lets just concentrate on eating healthy instead of what we weigh. It will all work out in the end if we are eating healthy right?

  • Hi Ladies! Well, so far so good. I have had alot of temptations already but I know what is good for my body. And I want to be healthy! And that is what matters. I too have put up the scale and will not know what I weigh until I get to TOPS Thursday. We are suppose to weigh once a week not once or twice a day. And the scale changes my mood. I want to be in a good mood so no more weighing for me!

    Sherri! I am glad you are in the right frame of mind. You are thinking right! Let us know how things go at the doctor.

    Tops Pals,

    This is the end of the week for me and weigh in is tomorrow.I think I did alright but I will let yall know tomorrow.
    I am still trying to figure out this posting stuff. Cant seem to get it to work each time..
    I am still working my own exchange program ,sort of a combination WW and Tops mixture. We will see if its working when I crush the scale tomorrow.

  • Hello everybody. This has been a busy day for me and it isn't over yet Taking a break to post.
    I have another job interview tomorrow when I get off work.I am meeting the recruiter at a school parking lot.That's a new one.But it saves me some travel.This place is a gated community with a golf course.But squirrly hours.Will see what happens.I am in no rush.I want to find a place I can stay at for the next 7 years
    I am still struggling and scale is up but I am not going to drive myself crazy.Like Sherri and I were talking .This should not be
    so terrible hard.I now have a microwave & refridg in my little office.So I bought some frozen low calorie lunches.My scale was up but I forgot to take my water pill yesterday so that could be part of it
    Cbabe-Can I call you Rose--I looked for you on the bio and couldn't find you.So I backtracked to your first post.I am also a granny in my 50's but from Fl.Good to see you posting.
    I am keeping my scale out.I need it or I get too lazy and pounds fly on me.But I have heard it is a really good idea for some people to not weigh.It's just not for me.
    That is what is great about this site.We can share ideas and try different things and find what works for us.
    The biggest majority of people who lose and keep it off are ones that come up with their own plan.That is a fact!!!
    Well I just dumped a big glass of green tea all over floor.So much for being graceful
    I still have tons of things to get done.Hope you are all having a good day.

    Just a quick note before I'm off to bed as it's after 10:30 here. I weighed in tonight and was down 3/4 lb! WOOOOHOOOOO!! I thought for sure I had gained because my eating was bad all week. I even worked out at the gym afterwards! Things will go good this week! I'm promising myself to eat better and no sweets!! Night all!

    I am very hungry tonight and I don't know why. Probably because I had too many carbs today. But I think I might have a wheat english muffin. That might do the trick. I had 2 slices of diet bread but that was kinda stale and didn't do anything for me. Plus I had 2 SF fudgsicles. I am still way under in the sodium for the day. But starting tomorrow I am not going to have so many carbs. I know I have to stay away from them. Even the doctor said so today. Like the white flour products. So I will do better in that dept. tomorrow. But I had low sodium today so I did eat healthy all day. And that is my goal for each day. I also decided that I should exercise also. I figured if I am going to be healthy then I should exercise no matter what. So I did another 30 min of stepping today. That is a very hard workout for me. It is very different and it is a longer time for the aerobic workout then I was getting also. So that is good.

    I am glad you took your own advice and put your scale up also. Thanks that helps to know that someone else did that to.LOL

    I am so proud of you for not eating junk today. You are doing great and you have the right attitude back so you will succeed. I know you will. Keep up the great work.

    Congratulations on the loss. That is great. Keep it up. Whatever you are doing is working for you and that is the important thing here. Like eleni said we all have to find what works for us. Keep up the great work. Think healthy.

    Sounds like you are making healthy choices now to. That is all we have to do is make good choices and we will be fine.
    Good luck on the interview tomorrow. Hope all goes well. I am sure you will find something that is perfect for you. Keep looking. Don't settle. Glad to hear that you are slowly getting back on track. Are you still walking at work with your buddies? That is great that you can bring food and use the refrig and the microwave. It does make it easier for lunch that way and cheaper I am sure.
    Keep up the great attitude that will make you a winner everytime.

  • Wow this is another bad weekend gone and hopefully better ones to come. I have gained at least 3 pounds this weekend. I have not had my weigh in but I will force myself to go tomorrow and weigh. I was talking about skipping but I decided not to. I eat it all and I deserve the gain. I just can't motivate myself to do anything at all. I want to do all this stuff and can't find the time to do it. I guess I need to take it one goal at a time. Well I hope you all are doing good and I will talk to you all later.

  • Hi Tamara,

    You have the right frame of mind. You have to take it one day at a time and one moment at a time. Otherwise you get to consumed with this whole thing. Fighting the little battles daily will get you to your goal. Also making healthy choices will get you there as well.
    As far as the time issue goes I know how to solve that. You have to schedule in time for you and for your plan. That is what Dr. Phill says also. He is so right. I did that and it really works. I schedule my exercise in for right after breakfast. Lately I have been doing it in the late afternoon. But usually I would do it in the morning first thing. Then I can take my shower afterward and get ready for work and be refreshed and ready to start the day. If I don't do it then usually I don't do it at all.

    You have to find a timeslot that works for you. Even if it means getting up 1/2 hour earlier in the morning to fit it in. At least you are making time for you. If you don't make eating healthy and exercising a part of your normal routine then you won't do it. Plus this is a lifestyle change for life. You have to find room for it because you are going to be doing it forever if you want to stay healthy.

    I hope this has helped. Slow it down and take one thing at a time and you will do fine. When our lives are out of control and we don't control them that is when we gain weight.
