  • I stepped on the scale this morning to find that I've reached my final goal of 150! I have been walking around in a daze with a huge grin on my face all day.

I started on Jan. 19th of this year. At first all I did was make sure I got at least 5 servings of fruits/veggies every day and walk at least 10,000 steps every day. When the pounds started coming off, I started adding in more and different kinds of exercise, and eating a low-fat/high-fiber diet. Over time I was able to cut out all the junk that I ate and replace it all with healthy foods without ever feeling hungry or deprived. I have a terrible sweet tooth, but now I can eat fruit instead and feel satisfied, without feeling yucky from eating junk.

When I started, I was wearing 2X tops and 22W jeans were snug. Now some size small tops are big and my size 6 jeans and slacks are all getting baggy. I actually have cheekbones, a jaw line, hip bones, ribs, collarbone! I even have a neck again! My blood pressure has gone down, I haven't had back pain for months, and I have so much energy all the time.

It is so hard to get started...but it's SO WORTH IT. I have never had so much confidence or felt so good. In the past I've always gained back what I've lost, but I truly believe this time is different because I haven't starved myself at all and I know I can eat the way I'm eating now for the rest of my life and I enjoy exercising, too.

Thanks for letting me share! I am pretty happy today!
