  • It's time for us to get ready for the scariest night of the year... the one with all the candy laying about! Everyone is invited to join this general weigh in. Simply post when your official weigh in day rolls around. Let's hope we all can report treats as the scale instead of tricks!

    Me:

    205, down 1.5 pounds from last week, and down half a pound from my lowest weight of 2 weeks ago. More wild fluctuations this week, but I did manage to get rid of the mystery weight that visited me last weigh in. But I dunno how I'm going to do this coming week, though. A weird work schedule and a planned night of partying (I have halloween off!) might lead to another interesting week at the scale. We shall see!
  • 211.8, down 3 lbs from last week. Yay! I started on the boards at 218, but reset my counter to show my actual "diet" start of 221.8 I just needed to acknowledge that first 10 pounds!

    New mini-goal of 5 pounds set -- I'll be going for every 5 pounds, I think.
  • After fluctuating up and down all week I'm still in a holding pattern at 196. At least I haven't gained any

    Congrats to those of you who have lost and if you've gained - hang in there, you'll soon be back on track.

    Watch out for those 'tricky' treats
  • Finally! After something like 6 weeks of bobbing back and forth between 175 and 176 I FINALLY managed to lose a pound. Official weight this week is 174. Yay! I'm super excited. Just 1 more til I get a new chick

  • Haven't posted on the weigh in thread for awhile, but it didn't mean I was backsliding!

    Nope. This morning when I weighed in, it was 189...come a long way since 252! Half way where a shortie like me should be (although my doctor gave me permission to weigh 25 lbs more than that...I am not taking it.)

    I have been going through drop several pounds, yoyo for two or three weeks, drop some more...and I've developed a knee problem as my gait has changed, but exercise was the answer for that, and it's much improved but not gone away.

    But I shall persevere. And I still write down what I eat every day.

  • 160.6 last week.. 158.4 yesterday!! 2.2 pounds lost. Though I'm back up to 160.2 today for some reason.. oh well! Hopefully it will come off tomorrow.

    I am super excited though, its the lowest I've been in about three years or so now. I started at 184 so that's like almost 30 pounds!

    Congrats everybody!! We are doing so well. <3 It takes alot to keep determined like this and steadfast to our goals for sure. Pat yourself on the back.

  • I am completely shocked!! ... this morning the scale read 194.0 ... I wasnt expecting it to be quite that lol but wow am I ever happy!!!
  • I wasn't expecting any change while I was getting back into the swing of things after vacation, but I actually lost half a pound. Not bad! Here's hoping for a full pound next week...
  • I'm currently 155! I'm so excited...I thought I wasn't going to make 155 by the 31st!
  • I'm back down 2 lbs to 130...!
    Congratulations to all of you that lost weight this week--that's great. And for those of you who didn't lose, don't give up!

    In the last two weeks, I was down two pounds to 130 lbs, then up two pounds...back to 132...and now I am back down to 130 lbs.

    This week I am going to cut my carbs a little to see if that helps me get into the 120's (where I haven't been for quite some time!)...so wish me good luck!

  • I am in confused shock.

    Never since I started losing weight (Dec. '04) has the scale gone up so much as a single pound (not counting TOM bloat). I've been eating the same, exercising about the same ... and yet my scale reads I GAINED 5 lbs. in 1 WEEK! It's just not possible. My clothes fit the same and everything.

    I just had a root canal on thursday - so I'm guessing most of this is fluid retention from the painkiller and anti-inflammatory I'm currently on.

    I refuse to change my ticker and avatar until I weigh in next weekend (or the weekend after I can stop taking the meds).

    Anyone else have an experience like this one? I need some support ladies!

    Lisa- I hope you're feeling better after the root canal . You're right - it's not possible to gain that much body fat in such a short time (unless you ate around 20,000 extra calories )

    Is your scale on the fritz? I'm asking because I had a problem with my scale where it would show I was up 2 lbs., I'd give it a kick and it would be down again!! I have a second, older, scale that a I use as a back up if I don't trust my "main" scale - talk about paranoid!

    From what you said about the meds you were on, they could well be the culprit. Just keep on doing what you're doing - the water weight will come off. You may want to cut back on salty foods for a while and see if that helps. Don't be discouraged by this little setback - think how far you have come!

    After daylight savings started on Sunday, I've been getting real hungry about an hour or so before mealtimes! I think this might be the trigger to start overeating in the fall . I've kept myself busy to keep my mind of eating and have managed not to start snacking, but it's been sooo hard!

    Luckily, we don't get trick or treaters (I don't think I'd be able to resist a few candies right now!) as we live out in the boonies.
