At the top of the forums it says to only buy Halloween candy on Halloween day (so we can resist eating the candy.) But I have another method - I only buy candies that I hate. I hate coconut so I bought mounds and almond joys. I am a purest, so I bought "inside out" peanut butter cups.
Our neighbor hood is so popular for Trick-o-Treating that we run out of candy every year. I just could not see waiting until after work on Monday to buy candy. So I "tricked" my self into staying away from the sweet stuff by buying items I wouldn't eat in a million years.
Thankfully, my youngest (age 14) is too old to go out and bring Mommy what see really wants -- any traditional milk or dark chocolate candy or peanut butter with chocolate candy.
What are you doing keep the "TRICK" out of Halloween?????????

Don't have kids, don't have to worry about it. Not going to spend the money on candy or treats, not going to deal with the temptation. I'll come up with somewhere to be on Monday night, so I don't even have to deal with the doorbell.
That's too funny, yet an easy way to get rid of it. What kid would refuse alot of candy.
