    hi all:

    i wanted to join in the fun here........so here i am! I asked my neighbor to join with me and she did! So far I have lost 2 lbs. Not alot, but I will take it. I am enjoying the ladies at the meeting with their songs, laughter, and support.

    Stay tuned for more banter from me, as I will be a "chatty-kathy" I am sure.

    Now, though, it is time for me to go to bed....nite

    LOL, when I joined TOPS and heard the songs, I almost quit! I disliked the songs so much - they were so uncomfortably cheesy that they made me squirm. Now I still dislike them, but I deal with them. And, of course, my group only has five people in it so they know when I'm not singing

    lol: those songs are too funny, i did not know what to think at first, but smiled and giggled inside......i told my husband, and he looked at me and just laughed.....

    we have aprox. 20 ladies.....me being the youngest.....but i don't mind, they are very friendly....

    The problem with my TOPS group's songs is that I don't know any of them! They're old show tunes, and I never really got into show tunes.

    I'm the youngest in my group (I'm 35), and there are two other women who are late 30s, and one woman who is mid 40s, then a woman about 70. I wonder why younger people don't join? It's cheap and effective.

    My weekly meetings are on Mondays. This past week I lost 3¼ lbs! But if I keep up my current habits, I will gain next week.

    Sounds like you are both doing great so far. Keep up the good work!

    The leader of our group likes to sing, however, we leave it up to the "Loser of the Week." If she doesn't want to sing, we skip it. Personnaly, I like to sing, but I'm one of those "old farts" (54).

    We have several younger people in our group - (ie in their 20s or 30s). Mostly they just come in, wiegh in and then leave. Usually they don't last long. I think staying for the meetings is improtant to keep yu motivated.

    So hope you both hang in there. Keep going!!

    Hi there kuchiegrl... welcome aboard.... I dont have much of a voice as I am deaf.. well not totally but very close, but we do a mean Tops Enthusiasm song.... .. I saw a couple of new songs at our fall rally and will try to get them t yped up and into our song book.... one is about leaving pizza alone, should be my theme ... Im a Beach girl, or t rying to be anyway and Lyn has a nice strong voice.. love to hear the girls sing..... so have a great week... and looking forward to your postings... India aka Barb

    what do you mean post bio? i thought i did. lol. let me know k? oh, by the way, i have an interview today at 2 at the hospital (ward clerk position) so i have had nervous energy since last night. Today i had some chips with my lunch But i am sure i will relax after i am done, and work on a better dinner, as well as go for a walk.

    okay, i am back from my interview.....went really well, but this job needs to be filled asap, and i am still waiting for my work auth. card (moved here from Canada, and got married) which, hopefully i will get very soon! I was trying to be proactive and set up interviews and sell myself so that i could line something up for when i get the card. This lady loved me (whats not to love! lol) and she told me she will spread the news around about me! so keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer! Other than that, i am starving, so i think i will have a nap to get rid of it. take care.....
