Another period question...

  • I'm on day 37 of my cycle, and typically my cycles are 25-27 days. I've taken numerous hpt's, as well as a hospital urine test, that have all come up negative. I know that beginning to exercise can throw off your cycle, but I've been exercising religiously for 3 years now (started with yoga for a year, then moved up to move intense workouts) and this is the first time my cycle has ever been off. Even breastfeeding didn't throw it off, and I had my first PP period at 6 weeks!

I did start running 2 miles a day, 2 days a week a month ago, in place of doing at-home workouts, and also started doing a 45 minute workout at the gym, instead of 30 minutes, on the 3 days a week I go there. Would that be enough to throw off my cycle?

To add another wrench, DH and I *are* trying to get pregnant. So anyone have any clues on what's up? Should I see about having a blood-test done, or would I be wasting the $20 co-pay?
  • Well me personally I would see about having a blood test done just to confirm things. It could be the change in your routine but there are some women that just don't test positive on urine test for a while.

Trust me I know what it's like to want that positive blood test and get a negative, my husband and I have been trying for 2 years, but I think you should double check just to be on the safe side.

    Good luck!
