Little losses count!!!

  • Sometimes, I go to WI, and I'm only down 0.4 pounds or something that sounds like that. It can be depressing, so I put it into perspective.

I added up all my losses that were only 1 pound or less, and it came out to 6.6 pounds down! So, it may be slow, but it adds up. So if you're discouraged by small losses, add them up and let the big picture put a smile on your face!
  • thanks Allie... I was pretty disappointed after losing .2 pounds. I was like, "ha! What a joke!" But you're right... they do add up, and it's better than gaining .2 pounds! Rock on!
  • Exactly! That is why I always count the .5 or whatever at the end of my weights. At least it is change in the right direction!!!
  • your right i was discouraged when i was on my week 6 weigh in and only lost .6 but, thats .6 less of me than before and every lil bit is that much less of me
  • Right!

Also remember if your working out... (I have read this in several different books and magazines and online but can't remember where lol) muscle weighs more then fat and takes up less room. So that will mess up the scales sometimes too. But in a positive way!
  • another thing I dont do i workout everyday but, monday the day before my weigh in because your muscle can retain water after workouts. just a tid bit that my moms weight watcher leader passed on to her group.
  • Interesting. I did not know that. Thanks for that info.
