My doctor said I need to drop some weight, he said he has been on SBD and thinks it would do well for me. My mother's best friend has lost so much while on the SBD... it just looks so hard to start. Any tips on getting started??

You need to get and read the book so you understand the theory of this lifestyle change. Read and read the FAQ Forum plus the stickies in this Forum. Remember this is NOT a plan for quick weightloss but one for healthy lifestyle changes.

Jump off the fence and play on The Beach.

Welcome to the forum... I think that while the first phase in particular may be tough - but that can really be minimised with good planning - the benefits are huge, and lets not forget the great support on the beach here.
