I need ground beef nurtitional info

  • Hi,

I saw some nutritional info on ground beef before but cant find it.

I use 1 pound of lean ground beef in my meals, I cook it in water to get rid of the fat, for the whole pound does anyone know how many points that is?

    Thanks!

  • Oh I found the post here:

    Beef Info

But if anyone has any ideas on how many points the beef I described above is, feel free to enlighten me!
  • Also you can use the 2 following websites to get nutritional information on most anything:

    calorieking.com

    http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/
  • Can someone help me with the nutritional information for lean ground beef that has been boiled in water?

I cant get that information off of a calorie website since they assume I am just frying it

    Please help!!!
  • Just a suggestion.
When you pour off the fat/water allow the fat to solidify and weigh it, then subtract those calories from the total for beef with fat.

I realize that this is going to be a bit time comsuming, but you could do it once and then use the estimate whenever you cook it that way.
  • Actually if you look in the first link the answer is right and then it will depend on the fat content you start with. For the most part 93% lean and leaner is 1 point per ounce no matter if you rinse or not.
