Wow

  • Hello again,
Ok I am just about finished with the book and I tried yesterday to do what I could with what I have in the house and it just doesn't work. I really need to sit down tonight and make out a plan for the next 28 days. I photo copied the "tally" page from the book and then made 28 copies from that to do a pre planned menu. I will do that tonight and then make my shopping list from that and shop on Friday.

I am so busy in the evenings right now with my sons football schedule that dinner will be the hardest so I think that I will make lunch my yummy healthy meal (chicken or fish, rice or potatoe, veggie, etc) and use the premade meals (smart ones, lean cuisine etc) for my dinner.

I am also going to make an excell spreadsheet with the fast food options, pre made meals, snacks, and treats all on them to print out and keep in my car and one for my purse that way I will always have them and I will know what to do...plus rewriting things helps me to remember them.

I still feel kind of lost with this and it makes me feel like I won't be eating enough but like I read in someones post if I make the right choices then I can eat "alot"....

I know that I am going to have a lot of questions but so far from the posts I have read you all are friendly enough to help me out!

How do you feel about his 8 Minutes in the Morning book or tapes?

    Thank you all,
    Kristy
  • Hi Kristy:

I have the 8 Minutes in the Morning for Extra Easy Weight loss book. It has all of the 3-Hour Diet info in it, plus the 8 Minute Moves for the morning.

I've been on the plan for a month and have lost 9 lbs. It is the most balanced program I have ever used. The good thing about it is--it's a way of life, not just a "diet". I can eat this way forever!! It is flexible enough to fit anyone's lifestyle. If you need to do a Lean Cuisine, it is totally permissible. Whatever works best for you within the guidelines!

Feel free to ask any questions! I don't claim to be an expert, but I soon will be!
  • It really isn't hard, sounds like you have a good plan. Just start this week by uping your water intake to at LEAST 8 glasses a day and work on the 3 hr timing...that is two of the main things.

The 8mm are great, I have not been doing them lately and need to incorporate them in my mornings again. Been trying to walk further each day...exercise is my bad area and portion control...I do better when weighing my food, especially at first. Love those 100 calorie snack packs....they are great.

Don't get overwhelmed....it will be your lifestyle soon. Phyllis
  • Kristy sounds like you really are getting a plan down. That is awesome! Hey when you get your spreadsheet done I'd love to check it out.

About the 8mm I really have never done them
  • kristy-it sounds like you are on a roll can't wait to see your progress good luck -
  • Kristy, I'm just getting started too. I'm doing the 8mm too. I think it's important to tone and build muscle as you lose. More muscle burns more calories and no sagging skin once the weight's gone. Good Luck on your new journey!!! Right there with ya!!
    Later,Rivergal
  • Thank you all for your welcomes and replies! I will share my spread sheets when I get them done...it might take a week or two though with football and company coming! My kids are on fall break next week so i might have some time then to get it done!

I guess I should have bought the 8mm book instead of the 3 hour diet one....hmm maybe I can exchange them?!

Thanks again and I will be back with questions!
    Kristy
  • Floridarusty,
What are the 100 calorie snack packs....? And, would a salad with olive oil and vinegar be considered a snack?
  • the 3-hour diet book also has some 8 mm in it. jc also has a boxed set of 8mm cards. i have the 3-hour diet book and love it. i haven't seen the 8mm book. good luck, you are going to do great
  • 100 cal. snack packs are sold in the grocery stores. Each prepackaged bag has exactly 100 calories....makes it so easy and they are good....Oreo, different types of cookies, snack mixes....check them out.

You can have what you want for a snack as long as it is 100 cal. or if your weight is higher (I can't remember the weight sorry) you can have more calories....it's in your book. 2 snacks a day in between meals.

    Phyllis
  • Anything can be considered a snack as long as it is only 100 calories.
