By reading posts here, I have heard some of you refer to some neat things, like ringing a bell when you weigh in, etc. My center has some pictures (before/afters) posted on the waiting room wall- that seems to be all we've got going on..I was confused that with all these pics (they are from my center, not generic ads) they never took mine for comparison. Im very internally motivated, so I dont really rely on these tactics, I'm just curious what other people experience at other centers around the country.

My LAWL center (centers, I should say - I'm on my third location but all owned by the same franchisee) has before and after photos ALL over - in the reception area, the weigh in area, and in every office. (but not in the bathroom, lol!) Also in the WI area there is a whiteboard divided into Pounds Lost sections and every client has a magnet that gets stuck in the appropriate section. And finally, they have a cork board COVERED in different lengths and colors of curling ribbon - again one for each client, and the ribbon represents how many inches you've lost.

I wish mine had the bell. I also wish mine had the just-WI option, but they only break that out at certain times of day when people tend to be in a hurry - rush hour and lunch hour, ya know.

We have the bell, but truthfully, I don't like it. I guess bevcause we don't ring it, they do after we weigh inand its not that inspirational to me.

However, the day I went to sign up my boyfriedn was with me so now ever time I get ready to go in he syas something like, you're gonna ring the bell, just wait to you hear the bell, etc. and in a round about way, I love to get out of the center and text messge him that I got to had my bell rang (yes we're corny like that )

I go to a Jenny Craig Center and it's all personal. I have my own goals (going to a Jackson Browne concert in a month for instance, don't want to be fat to see him!). It's all personal anyway. Right? Good luck to you!

Hi - we do have a loser board, and there have been times that we've run specials. . . but I was gone for several months, and haven't seen anything lately. They did run one last holiday season to keep people coming in and on track - so maybe yours will, too?

Hi all! I'm new here, but I've been reading everyone's posts for over a month now. I finally decided to join in. I went to WI today and my center is having a holiday special. If you WI 10 times per month for Oct-Dec, you get a $25 coupon each month. At the end of the year, if you visited the center 36 times or more between 10/1 and 12/31, you get entered to win an American Express gift certificate. Plus I got a Fall-Holiday 2005 booklet that has tips and recipes to get through the holidays. We're also having a "chinese auction"...for every 1/2 pound you lose, every WI visit, and other incentives, you get a ticket to put into the can that goes with the prize you would like to win. At the end of the month, they'll draw names. I'm pretty excited about the whole thing...I love to be motivated!

I have to admit, I have a really great center. There is only one counselor that I don't really care for. It's not that she's not nice, I just like the other girls that get so excited over my 0.2 pound loss!!!
