Great News!

  • Ok so I know this off topic but I just have to share the news because I am soo happy and soo scared at the same time. No im not pregnant..haha.

Anyways to make a long story short I am living in Canada with my husband awaiting permanent residency. We applied in March and yesterday marked the 6months since they got our application and we still had not heard anything other than they were processing the application.

TODAY when i checked my status online we got the wonderful news that they now have my completed medicals and they sent us a letter Sept. 14th for approval in principal to become a permanent resident.

This potentially could be wonderful news...assuming that only positive can come out of it. Anyways I am soo happy - one step closer to being finished with sittin in limbo not being able to work or have manitoba health!!

    TODAY IS A GOOD DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh yeah and i actually got up this morning and exercised so it's really a good day today!!!!!!!

  • Welcome to Canada
    Why Winnipeg?

Sorry Winnipeg gets all the bad jokes about anyone actually wanting to live there. I have family there and it is great. This is wonderful news.
  • Congratulations...and welcome to Canada.

Why Winnipeg?? Ha I seem to get that a lot...actually i have had quite a few people ask me why I would want to live in Canada instead of the US. Well the reason for me moving here is to live with my husband. He was born and raised here in Winnipeg and is currently in school so it wasn't convenient for him to move at this time.
Winnipeg is not a bad place..sure it has it's good and bad parts just as any other place I am sure does. Although they really could put some money into their roads as they are absolutely horrible compared to our beautiful roads in MN.
Anyways living in canada has its differences...the only thing I can't seem to get used to yet is how expensive everything is here in MB and I it's hard to grocery shop as I can't find things here that I am used to back home.
Well thanks for the congrats and I can't wait until I can officially say that I am a PR of Canada.
