28 activity points

  • I am challenging myself to get in 28 activity points this week. Since I don't have time to exercise on weekends 4 out of my 5 days will have to include 90 minutes of moderate exercise and the 5th day 60 minutes.

I have been curious does ANYBODY get in 28 AP regularly? I walk at about 3-4 mph on my treadmill so that's moderate for me. If you reach the 28 mark do you find you have to include high intensity activities to fit it all in or do you do it at a moderate intensity?

Also, I feel like I am putting in more effort than moderate somedays, especially when I try to run at 5 or 6 mph for a minute here and there or when I have increased my inclne. I know I am not putting forth a high intensity effort but it's more than moderate, can you go in between when calculating it on the slider?

    Thanks
  • I earn 3-5 APs a day depending on what I do 6 days a week. Many people do get 28 or more.

So I earn 18-30 points a week. Usually my workouts are 4 points a day (WATP in the morning and weights or treadmill in the afternoon at the gym) and Saturdays are usually 3-4 with a WATP tape.
  • I get from 20 -35 a week. I have a good workout video that is about 4 points each time I do it, plus I go for walks with my big dog every day, for about 2-3 points per walk, depending on how far.
  • I thought you couldn't earn more than 4 APs a day. Has this changed? Because that would rock.
  • HMMM Sister, maybe you are right. I remember reading that you couldn't "eat" more than 4 a day. But maybe I read it wrong. I will have to look again, b/c I am killing myself with 90 minutes on the treadmill, plus caring for 4 kids and canning stuff for winter. If I can't really earn 6 points in one day with out cheating I don't want to, you know.

Currently, I figure at my weight I get 1 point for every 15 minutes of moderate exercise. Which at 3 mph hour that's a brisk pace for me. So to reach the 28 a week I have to 60 minutes a day, but weekends I just cna't workout b/c our schedule is crazy and when the kids nap (my normal second workout session time) my husband usually wants to work on this or that. Sometimes it's easier when he's at work LOL!

Thanks for all the informaton though everyone! My leader is awesome but she's not great on answering the exercise questions b/c frankly she "doesn't like to sweat".
