  • Well summer is over in my end of the world! We had our first official snow fall in British Columbia today, 30cm's at that! Wow, that was just TOO quick for my liking!

    -Aimee
  • Jeez, I WISH we had snow! I would so much rather be cold than hot--when I'm cold, I can curl up in fleeces and blankets and stuff to keep cozy and warm, but when I'm hot, there's only so far I can go to cool myself I grew up in CT where I remember often having to figure out how to be able to wear ski pants and snow boots under our halloween costumes, but here in NOVA, it certainly doesn't come as early in the year, and anything over half an inch seems to be reason for a state of widespread panic and major traffic accidents throughout the regions (in CT, we would have a foot of snow and still have to go to school--the busses would just put the chains on their tires).
  • hey!

I am from British columbia too! I live in Pg. I can't believe you have snow, thats crazy, are you up on a mountain or something? I wish it would snow here I am all ready for christmas! It is definatley getting darn cool up here! last night is was 1 degree when I went to bed! Well I guess thats it! Gooo teeaamm BC!!
    Danica
  • You've got to be freaking kidding me!! Snow?? No fair! I'm so sick of summer, it's not even funny. Of course, I don't know why I'm complaining since I'm always freezing now anyway, but like I always say, "you can always put more clothes on, but you can never get away with takin 'em all off!" I hope you'll enjoy your first snowfall of the year, and please be sure to clobber someone with a snowball in honor of all your sweltering, southern cyber-friends.

    Beverly
  • WOW! Can't believe you've had snow already. I like snow, but not in any hurry for it to get here!
Currently it is 85 or so, may be hotter, but I don't care to know for sure. For Wisconsin, in early September, this is unusual. Not minding the heat this summer, maybe losing weight has made it more bearable.
  • Aimee, That is INSANE... wow. in Toronto summer usualy lingers untill october and the mildness sticks to december.

    wow. I looove snow!!!!
  • Wow! Tomorrow it's going to be in the 90s here in Brooklyn, so I'm still on the sweltering end of the scale! Hard to even picture snow.
  • I'm sweating in Indiana....90's here. Although I'm not wishing for snow yet, I would like some nice low 60's and 70's. Snow in September....can't imagine.
    Lynne
  • There isn't snow in Vancouver, it's in Fernie, I was watching the news this morning and they were showing pictures. It's more snow than we get here in Vancouver ALL winter long (although I am from the area which the snow fell... ). Ahh, poor Fernie area!

I wish it was still summer-like, but we have that crisp cool feeling in the air already Our summer didn't even start until mid-july, so it was a short one! Someone send me some warm weather!

    -Aimee
  • Snow--bite your tongue!! I detest snow. I dislike heat, too, though. Give me a beautiful sunny 71 degree day like today.
  • I Love the snow!! Can't wait. Like Lynne said it's in the 90's here in Indiana!!
  • AWWW I want snow!!

We're sitting here waiting for this stupid storm to decide what its going to do. I'm so tired of hot weather. I want COLD COLD COLD.
  • You gotta love the crazy canadian weather! Today in Mississauga is supposed to go up to 34 degrees (with the humidex). That is so weird that you mentioned Fernie. I know where that is, because I lived there on work term for school for four months. Lived there and worked at the Sparwood coal mine.
  • I don't even want to think of snow. I don't mind the cold so much just the wet inches upon inches of snow that we get. I hate how my shoes get soaked and my pants get soaked from walking around in it. I only like snow at Christmas. This past winter in Cleveland was miserable! I think it even snowed in May this year... I know April 1st was a terrible snow storm... BLAH! Give me some nice hoodie weather anyday!
  • Snow already? Sheesh it's still in the 90s here. In our area we haven't really had decent snow in almost 3 years.
