Good Morning Chicks

Schatzi - I took some time yesterday to re-order my household priorities, and , dont laugh went to shine my sink. I'd forgotten just how much difference it made and so then I had a quick clean and tidy up in the kitchen.

Today we are having some new furniture delivered for our dining room. Some of you may recall that we are right in the middle of having our kitchen re-modelled (the job has been ongoing since MARCH- dont ask!! ). Anyhow, I had to move stuff out of the utility room - I think in America thats called a laundry room, no idea about Canada- into the dining room. So now I have to find a place for all that stuff in order to fit the new furniture into the dining room!!

So thats it for today - clean and tidy the DR ready for its new furniture.

Morning, Artemis! Just you and me this morning! woke up at 4:30 and couldn't go back to sleep..grrr!! Today's goona be a long one.

Ok, I know it's not approved for SB but last night I tried the dreamfields lc pasta...it's great. So many lc brands are so gross but this stuff tastes just like regular pasta. My willpower went down after not eating for 12 hours yesterday, so I tried some from the box I've had in my cupboard for months now. I know that it's not whole grain so it doesnt have all the health benefits and its not approved for SB but I definitely think this will be going into my rotation once or twice a month if it doesn't affect my weightloss. Other than that I've been completely OP lately. I plan to make the amazing veggie soup tonight. I always feel better when I eat tons of veggies.

Yesterday I got caught up on all the stuff I was behind on in my computer class. Big weight off my shoulders!!! The guy who is in that class with me and is also my student helped me out on one project but then later that day turned around and smarted off to me in lab about an assignment I gave out. Probably thinks he'll get special treatment for helping me...gotta nip that s++t in the bud! I guess I won't be getting help from him from now on....not that I asked, he just came over and started helping me. His lab report sucked that he turned in and I gave him a D. He's gonna be pissed when he sees it but it really was awful and I could tell he put absolutely no effort into it whatsoever. Oh well! I've noticed its the always older men who tend to be the ones who smart off to me in class. Seems they think they are too good to have to take this intro bio lab....well, let them go take an chemistry lab and see how they like it ! I spent more time working on my one credit organic chem labs than I did on the lectures!! Life sucks, deal with it!! :

I'll be weighing in on Friday's from now on. This friday will be scary since I'm swollen like a freakin' balloon from PMS but we shall see what happens!!

Geesh...I feel like I'm rambling on and on this morning...no sleep and not enough coffee... ! Ok, I'm done now! Have a great day, chicks!

Artemis- A shined sink! I remember that feeling. I actually laid my clothes out last night. I don't know why I fight it. It makes life so much easier. I take it you are a flybaby!

Pearshape- Don't do it! Don't step on the scale under the influence of PMS!! Wait a week!

As for me: I started back on Phase 1 yesterday with no problems. I didn't make my water intake. But, today is another day and I will pay special attention to it. I didn't get up in time to workout today. I can't go at lunch b/c I am leaving early for a dentist appointment and I can't go tonight b/c we have dinner guests. I could kick myself. I HAVE to go workout tomorrow!

Oh well, I'm off to fix some egg beaters with green peppers and onions and lf cheese.

Good morning. I'm feeling "flat" this morning for some reason - not flat as in buffed either! Some coffee should fix that.

Artemis, didn't it make you feel better to get some of that "stuff" out of the way? By the way, most of us call it a laundry room here in Canada, this part of the country anyhow.

This morning I am definitely going to town to get camera and remote fixed and buy a case of red peppers. That's 28 pounds! I plan to roast them on the BBQ and preserve them for winter. I love red peppers. I may make some into red pepper jelly.

Lucy is woofing for breakfast. The Girls are sleeping in much later now that the mornings are darker.

Good Morning, sounds like you all are off to a good start. I am feeling pretty accomplished, the dog has gone out, the oldest is dressed and off to school, the youngest is changed and playing, and I AM dressed LOL that's a big deal some days. I have been working hard to get some things in order that had to be done around here. My husband really doesn't have time to help but he did the dishes yesterday and cleaned up the kitchen. Our social worker will be here this afternoon, we moved in June so we need a new home visit to update our homestudy (for adoption).

This weekend I took my 6yo who just joined cub scouts and spent the day filling a bus to help New Orleans. He was so excited when they finally put all we had collected on the bus and then they got to take a picture. He has been talking about it to everyone who will listen.

I have shared this site with so many people, you all post the best recipes!

I am a flybaby I am also part of an email group called Freecycle, I love it! I have given away so much stuff that I didn't need. It gets addictive when you start listing things, you just want to give more and more.

Pearsydew: I agree with Djett... no sense weighing yourself when your a big swollen pufferfish! DeBoles has a good WW pasta... I made a pasta salad for lunch yesterday... Pasta, Salad Supreme seasoning, black olives, 3 slices of salami, parmesean crumbelettes, diced tomato and tinytiny cukecubes..and Italian dressing.. May I SAY IT... A -B-C-DE-Licious! In fact I give myself 4 CHEF DUDES!

Ruth: A CASE of red Peppers!! I only do the fruit jellies.. What do you do with pepper jelly? I'm thinking it wouldn't be for a PB and J sammich....

Artemis, don't you love the 'household shuffle'? All that moving things around makes me dizzy. I think you deserve at least a quick lie down or maybe fifteen minutes of tea and TV?

Pear, I found that the older men always were the worst in my classes, too. I'm a teacher by trade so we often had men who had been at the top of their game in some company before the layoffs, then decided to seek a teaching career. They always knew it all. Hope yours pipes down and gets to work! What's in the Dreamfields pasta? Have you tried different whole wheat pastas? I honestly don't see any difference between them and regular pasta except that they don't give me cravings. If you really do, look around for pastas that are made with durum semolina. They are allowed at least once a month, maybe once a week (check your GFGCG). I even found some ravioli with SBD safe ingredients that were made with durum semolina. Yum!

Good Mornin' Lovely Ladies!!! I so missed you all over the long weekend and I'm trying to get caught back up to speed on everyones weekend . We went to my Moms for the weekend and got back Monday night. Yesterday was about cleaning up all the kitty messes and getting the house back in order. I firmly believe that my cats puke way way too much when we are not home -- is it that only a watched cat keeps its food down? There must be some reason . Icky!

I was able to stay OP for 3/4 of the weekend and when I ate something not OP it made me feel soooo awful. Serves me right though since I had been doing so good. I am still trying to adjust to P2 and I am about ready to go back on just p1 and forget about adding stuff back in for awhile. It's just too much to keep up with at times with the kids and DH too. I need to focus what free time I have to my walking with the boys during the mornings. It has been beautiful the past few mornings and it has been a joy to be outside. I hope it continues over the weekend so that it won't be too hot when I make the candles that need to be shipped out.

The dinner party is going to be a problem. I have to go grocery shopping this afternoon. So, I thought that I would pick up some chicken and grill it. I, also, considered making Shishkabobs with them. I made some of those for DH one night and they were a hit. My guest is bringing potato salad and baked beans. Neither of which, I am sure, would fit into my phase 1 plans. I don't know if I will be honest or take a small portion. To be honest, I am actually hoping they cancel. I'm not really in the mood for entertaining. I would rather sit back on the couch and chill and get my laundry done. But, DH made the plans so I will be polite.

Ruth, I'm drooling over the red peppers! Did you get a great deal buying them by the case? Yum! I noticed it was definitely MUCH darker this morning when we took Lady for her morning 'constitutional'. So sad!

Angela, I'm about to post my first listing on freecycle...we cleaned and sealed our deck this weekend and have a couple gallons of cleaner and sealer left over. Figure someone with a small deck can use them...Hope it goes well! What does being a 'flybaby' mean? Good luck on your home study!

Schatzi, you crack me up! You have a kayak and you are inside??? Girl...I think you need a break to motivate you to finish working on inside stuff...time is awastin' and the weather is changing quickly. You can always clean and unpack in the winter!

Me: Off to Totally Pumped this morning. Hoping we don't have the sadistic teacher from last week or my body might not be able to take it! I look forward to this class but learned there's spinning at noon on Wednesdays. Don't think I can do both...but the new schedule for classes should come out soon, so maybe there won't be a conflict after all. We'll see. I'm nervous about trying spinning because I've heard it's super hard, but I really want to give it a go at least once.

Working on a quilt for my aunt's 50 birthday. It's coming along nicely but the fabrics I picked for the 'pinwheels' in the middle of the squares are too similar. I think I'll be quilting them so they 'pop' more.

Have to take the car in for an oil change today. Will bring some things to do, but it might be mostly reading!

We are getting pounded here from the tropical depression. I looked at the forecast and it's nothing but rain for the next week. DS1 and I were supposed to go (real, tent) camping this weekend with cub scouts but I think they may cancel.

Peggy, just read your post in Tuesday's Daily. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. ((((Peggy)))) It sounds like you are having a time of it and that you totally deserve that vacation! Make the most of it and don't stress about your weight...it'll just make it worse. Just do what you know is right, eat healthy, exercise, and it'll be okay.

WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Woke up this morn and had to put my duster on. Thank Goodness we're finally having some cooler weather.This is certainly going to make my computer operate correctly again.No more sticky keys.

We were suppose the have the Katrina victims come up to the Cape,but the people didn't want to go that far north,they want to stay closer to home.So that idea was scraped.

Djett-Phase 1 is always hard for me to get back to,glad to see it worked for you. Maybe you can park far away from the dentist office and walk over there, that some kind of activity.

Artemis, it will be fun to get new furniture. Oh, remodeling, that's like labor and delivery. It's nice when it's done, but the process is pretty painful.

pearshape, you go girl! Let them know in that class who is in charge. I gotta agree with schatzi, don't weigh in when you're puffy, unless you really want to be happy about the weight loss in a week or so when it comes melting off.

djett, have fun at the dentist.................. I like the end result but I just hate having the pain.....waaaaaaaaa

Beachgal, have fun at the exercise class. Spinning does look hard, never have tried it myself. Quilting, now that's something I want to do someday.

flmom, wish we could have some of your rain. We've got about 4 fires near here on BLM ground that are getting a bit out of control. We had a nice wet spring and therefore grew a bunch of grasses that are now "tinder".

Well, I'm going to study for awhile this morning and then clean house. Wednesday and Saturday are my housecleaning, bathroom scrubbing, floor mopping days. Looking forward to Saturday this week because my son is taking his wife on a little vacation for their anniversary and I'm babysitting the 3 cutest boys in the world. "Gwamma's donna make tookies and spoil them shamelessly!
