Kim, I feel you...my hardest thing to remember in Phase 1 is carrots...I have such a hard time remembering that they aren't allowed; they are such a 'health food' in my mind!

I had some in my salad yesterday by mistake and didn't realize until I was on my next-to-last bite.

Such is life...
I'm doing Phase 1 this week too. I've had bad cravings after eating several gallons of SF ice cream over the last month!
Jads, remember that this is about gaining health, not losing a specific number of pounds, okay? 8 pounds lost isn't going to change much if you do it in an unhealthy way. Just concentrate on eating healthier and exercising and the weight will come off. Setting really difficult (and sometimes impossible) goals for yourself is just setting yourself up to fail. Instead, why don't you say that you will be in Phase 2 by your wedding. That's a 'do-able' goal.
