Anyone else expecting any affects of this hurricane?!?!?

Hey everyone...I live in Lake Charles, LA which is about 3 hrs from New Orleans...we are not being affected..just some wind. My husband is in the media and has been at the station since 9:00 yesterday morning. It is packed here with people who were evacuated. I know it isn't good situation in New Orleans, MS or AL right now. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who are affected.

I talked to Nikki today and they are fine. But she requests that everyone keeps them and all the others devastated by Katrina in your thoughts and prayers

Nikki I was worried about you! I havnt seen a post from you in a long time! Thank goodness your family is safe and sound- and you! Keep In touch! We all love you. And I will keep it in my prayers. Last night my son was saying his prayers and he said "Dear God Please stop the flodding and let them have thier mommies and daddies back" Tears welled up in my eyes just then. Its amazing that such a little being understands the pain and desire of what the USA crisis is going through.
