New to forums & wanting a Weekly Weigh In??

  • Morning ladies,
    I'm just starting with the forums so I'm new at this so bear with me. I have found this website to be benefical and am continually looking to help support others and for others support. I don't know if anyone would be interested in doing a weekly weigh in (I was thinking Wednesday's) and we could all report our progress then. I have found the journals and the buddy I have (thanks for all your encouraging words Stacey) to be very helpful and I think this is another way to share ideas and keep me on track.
    I don't know if this is something that already happens in here, and if it is let me know and I do apoligize. Like I said, I'm new to the forums and I'm trying to figure this all out.
    A little about me is a I am mother to a 8yr old DD, 4yr old DS, and a 2yr old DD. I have been married for almost 8 years to a wonderful man. I'm a stay at home mom who is a scrapbooking consultant for a scrapbooking company and have started a cookie/gift bouquet business with a good friend of mine. I don't like exercise, but am trying to add a little each day. I had lost 10lbs since joining the group in July, but gained 3 back (over indulged this weekend while friends were here). I have a big goal of losing 105lbs. My monthly goal was to lose 5lbs, which I did.
    Looking forward to getting to know all of you better and sharing ideas with you all. Can't wait to check out the recipes!!!

  • Bec---Welcome and don't apologise for asking questions. It's one reason we're here (and what we all start out doing at the beginning!). Congrats on your loss so far! You're doing awesome!! As far as I know, nobody has set up a weekly WI and if I was actually LOSING weight I'd join in. But for some reason (ok. I know the reason..just have to get rear in gear and change it) I've not lost anything. Maybe once I start to again regularly I'll jump in with you. If you want to start a weekly WI topic go for it! You'll find if nobody joins to add their WI....you'll get encouragement from the rest of us!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

    Hi Bec,
    I was weighing in on Mondays but would be willing to switch to Wednesdays for sure. I find a weekly weigh-in keeps me honest.
    I do a combination of atkins/weight watchers. I count carbs while counting points. It's the way I've seen the greatest success with my own weightloss.
    I got married last year, and opened my own business in February...that's when my weight got away from me, so now i'm here and I'm serious!
    I will have to weigh tomorrow this week, but will be on the Wednesday schedule by next week!

  • Sorry for being out of commission last week all! I am feeling much better! Thanks to all that has responded to the above post. I'm gonna go ahead and start with having this be a place we can all come to for weekly weigh in's. Wednesday the 14th will be the first day for all of us. Share here about all the up's, down's, what you find to work and not to work and about yourself. Good luck to all!!
  • Ok. I'm going to try and do the weekly weigh-in. Remind me if I forget OK?? I'm a "tad" forgetful (understatement!) though. So this Wednesday I'll do my best to get weighed and then sign in here
